Launch of the novel "Treasure of the South - The Other World"

NDO - On April 6, the Writers Association Publishing House held a launch of the novel “Treasures of the South - The Other Side of the World” by writer Nguyen Thi Anh Thu. The novel takes readers back in history, telling the story of people's journey between life and death to discover spiritual treasures - cultural values, national pride and the power of humanity.

The novel “Southern Treasure - The Other Side of the World ” marks the impressive return of author Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, a prominent female writer of contemporary Vietnamese literature, while also providing a connection with the history, culture and spirituality of the nation.

“Southern Treasures - The Other World” is not only a historical story, but also delicately depicts the customs, beliefs and philosophies of the Vietnamese people. The work takes readers back to the heroic historical years of the Vietnamese people, while opening up a mysterious spiritual world, where cultural and spiritual values ​​are vividly recreated.

The novel tells the story of Vietnamese people's journey across the line between life and death, between reality and nothingness, to discover precious spiritual "treasures" - cultural values, national pride and the power of humanity.

In particular, the novel depicts the turbulent years of the country, where the Vietnamese people faced war, poverty and harsh challenges. In that context, they still maintained their resilience, patriotism and belief in traditional cultural values.

The book is inspired by a true story: In 1983, two foreigners crossed the sea to Vietnam to search for treasure on Hon Tre Island, an event that caused a stir and opened up stories about historical mysteries and the desire to discover the hidden values ​​of a coastal country.

Writer Nguyen Thi Anh Thu was born in 1959 in Hanoi . She is a member of the Vietnam Writers Association and the Hanoi Writers Association. She has published 8 short story collections, 2 children's short story collections, 5 novels, and also has scripts for movies and television series.

During her writing career, writer Nguyen Thi Anh Thu has been honored to receive many prestigious awards, including 2 awards from the Army Literature Magazine (in 1985 and 1987), 2 awards from the Voice of Vietnam Radio (in 2002 and 2003), 1 award from the Capital Women's Newspaper (in 2010), 2 awards from the Ministry of Public Security (in 2022).
