Launch of epic novel about President Ho Chi Minh

The extremely rich and beautiful life of President Ho Chi Minh is a source of inspiration and a never-ending topic for writers, poets, journalists, and artists in many forms of journalism, literature, and art. However, writing about Ho Chi Minh, portraying the image of Ho Chi Minh in a sharp, realistic, and vivid way, and his noble and great revolutionary career is not always an easy task.

In the field of literature, in the genre of novels, there are not many works written about President Ho Chi Minh so far. The most successful writer on this topic is Son Tung with “Blue Lotus”, “Golden Lotus”, “The Separation on Ben Nha Rong”… Next are the writers: Ho Phuong with “Father and Son”; Hoang Quang Uyen with the 3-volume novel series: “Looking Away to the Old Country”, “Pac Bo Sun”, “Liberation”; Nguyen The Quang with “Songs of the Rivers”… However, the above authors have not yet had any novel series large enough about Ho Chi Minh in terms of length in time, breadth in space, height in thought and art.

In 2022, writer Nguyen The Ky, after many years of preparation, persistently accumulated documents, historical materials and conducted research trips at home and abroad, conducted the operations of integrating, analyzing, comparing, and contrasting existing documents; structured the outline and started writing in parallel the long novel and the artistic epic both named " Nuon non van dam ".

The epic art series has completed part I "Debt to the country" in a massive 5-part script collection, reaching a wide audience nationwide. The long novel series "Nuon non van dam" will be released to readers in one volume each year: "Debt to the country" , 2022; "Lênh trôi bạn bân bien" , 2023; "Tu Viet Bac ve Ha Noi " , early 2024, "Duong lenh Dien Bien ", early 2025 and the 5th volume - the final volume "Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh" , released to readers in mid-May 2025, on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

Besides the main character Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh, there are many people, many fates, events, lands, details, many joys and sorrows, happiness and sufferings... through "Nuoc son van dam" appearing fresh, anxious, haunting, proud, and urging. Some obscure parts of history are also painstakingly researched by the author, clarified sincerely, vividly and convincingly.

Readers go through 5 volumes of the novel “Nuoc non van dam” with over a thousand pages, closing each volume to recall, contemplate, love, respect, and be grateful to the main character - President Ho Chi Minh in the epic space of Vietnam associated with the world at the end of the 19th century and most of the 20th century... “Nuoc non van dam” will certainly have a closer and more passionate journey to readers, spreading love, hope, and trust in the past, present, and future.

Unlike other writers who usually only choose “slices” of history to portray the image of Ho Chi Minh at certain times, author Nguyen The Ky has recreated the entire life and revolutionary career of Uncle Ho through literary language. The novel also contributes to protecting the ideological foundation of our Party at the time of preparing for the 14th Party Congress, the country entering an era of national growth, development, prosperity, civilization and prosperity.
