Reviewing preparations for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day

On August 15, Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Xuan Dung chaired a meeting to listen to reports on preparations for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The meeting was connected online to central ministries, branches and 34 provinces and cities nationwide. Attending the meeting at the Khanh Hoa bridge point were comrade Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, branches and investors with projects about to start construction in the province.

Up to now, there are a total of 250 large projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces and cities that are eligible to start construction and inaugurate, with a total investment of nearly 1.3 million billion VND from the State capital and other capital sources. Of which, Khanh Hoa province has 4 projects: Nha Trang City Mixed Urban Area; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics Training and Research Facility in Nha Trang; Investment in construction and business of infrastructure of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park; Social housing in Thanh Hai Resettlement Area. The total investment capital of the 4 projects is nearly 20,200 billion VND. It is expected that the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony will be held on August 19, the central bridge at the National Exhibition Fair Center (Hanoi), connecting online with 80 bridges at the projects and works. The program is broadcast live on Vietnam Television, Newspapers, Radio and Television of localities.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Xuan Dung requested ministries, departments, sectors, and People's Committees of provinces and cities to coordinate with investors to carefully review preparations for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In particular, it is necessary to complete preparations before August 17; by August 18, localities will simultaneously conduct test runs.

* Immediately after the meeting with the Ministry of Construction , Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam chaired a meeting with relevant departments, branches and units to listen to reports on the preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony of 4 projects in the province. According to the report, up to now, the units have basically completed the procedures to be eligible to start the projects. Regarding the live broadcast of the groundbreaking ceremony at 4 projects on KTV, Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio and Television has chaired and coordinated with investors with projects starting construction to develop specific scenarios; it is expected to conduct a general rehearsal on August 18 with the whole country.

Comrade Tran Hoa Nam requested relevant agencies and units to urgently complete legal procedures to be eligible to start construction on August 19; deploy plans to ensure security and order, traffic flow, health care, fire prevention and fighting, and stable power supply at the event area; VNPT Khanh Hoa connects transmission lines, audio and visual signals at the connection points...
