Reviewing the list of large-scale projects and works, meaningful to welcome the 14th Congress

On the morning of December 1, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired a meeting with a number of ministries and branches on preparations for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of large-scale projects and works to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Proposing 79 online and live TV bridge points

Reporting at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan informed that by November 30, 2025, the Ministry of Construction had compiled 232 projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that were eligible to start construction and inaugurate, of which 149 projects and works had started construction and 83 projects had been inaugurated.

By ministry, branch and locality, there are currently 35 projects of ministries and branches; 42 projects of corporations and general companies; and 155 projects of localities.

By project group, there are 3 national key projects, 55 group A projects, 151 group B projects and 23 group C projects.

The total investment of projects/works is about 1,123,700 billion VND (of which 101 projects are from State capital, more than 537,000 billion VND, accounting for 48% of the total and 131 projects from other capital sources with more than 585,000 billion VND, accounting for 52% of the total).

Of the total 232 projects and works that are eligible for commencement and inauguration, the Ministry of Construction proposed 79 online and live TV broadcasting points at large-scale and meaningful projects and works, connecting with other projects and works in ministries, branches, provinces, cities... (symbolizing the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day December 19, 1946 - December 19, 2025).

Of the 79 connecting points, 34 were attended by leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly , Vietnam Fatherland Front, Government leaders, Ministers, and Heads of ministerial-level agencies (including 9 connecting points with leaders of the Government, localities, investors, and construction contractors speaking).

In addition to the 79 above-mentioned locations, other event venues will have LED screens to monitor the program live on VTV1 and simultaneously perform groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies according to the main location.

Discussing at the meeting, leaders of ministries and branches requested the Ministry of Construction to clearly classify the scale and significance of each project, select truly typical projects, and ensure consistency in synthesizing the project list.

In addition, opinions were discussed on the organization of the bridge points and the program scenario, requiring the clear identification of the central bridge points, and the improvement of the project introduction method to create a continuous communication circuit. The emulation and reward work must be closely reviewed to ensure objectivity.

The ministries and branches agreed to continue to coordinate to complete the project list, program scenarios and reward records, and submit them to the Government for consideration as soon as possible.

Ensuring pervasiveness and comprehensiveness

Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the event was held at a meaningful time to summarize 5 years of implementing national strategic tasks, especially breakthroughs in infrastructure development, socio-economy, education, healthcare, national defense and security, etc., and to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Construction to urgently prepare documents (reports, speeches) for the event, fully evaluate the results, achievements, difficulties, challenges..., in which, emphasize outstanding contributions, policies to remove obstacles, innovate mechanisms; draw lessons for the next 5-year period.

The Ministry of Construction takes the lead, coordinates with ministries and branches to review and orient projects that are "truly national key, of economic and social significance". The preparation work is thorough, concise, and concise, but highlights the meaning and scale of the event, avoiding spreading out, lacking focus, and presenting the program solemnly and coherently.

Ministries, branches and localities propose large projects and works, ensuring comprehensive coverage in the following areas: Infrastructure, economy, education, health, energy, agriculture, environment, culture, sports...

The Ministry of Construction coordinated with Vietnam Television, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Science and Technology to develop detailed scenarios for the connection points, prioritizing the selection of typical works as central connection points.

The program must ensure the spread and comprehensiveness of the works, demonstrating the socio-economic contributions and efforts of state management agencies.

Commenting on the emulation and commendation work, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Ministry of Construction coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Emulation and Commendation Boards of ministries, branches and localities to compile a list of worthy works, collectives and individuals, ensuring their symbolic and typical character; at the same time, pay attention to honoring outstanding artists and individuals with effective contributions. Records, reports and lists of works must be completed promptly so that events and commendation work are not delayed.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to seriously and proactively implement the work to complete it before December 19, truly spreading and creating a new atmosphere./.
