On May 8, concluding the thematic monitoring meeting on the implementation of business support policies in the city organized by the City People's Council monitoring delegation, Permanent Vice Chairman in charge of the City People's Council Tran Phuoc Son requested the Economic - Budget Committee to coordinate with the Office of the National Assembly Delegation - City People's Council to issue a document requesting the City People's Committee to complete the report on the implementation of business support in the city, in which it is necessary to pay more attention to analyzing local support policies, clarifying which policies need to continue to be implemented, which policies need to be adjusted, amended and which policies need to be abolished.
To do this, the Department of Planning and Investment and the Office of the City People's Committee advise the leaders of the City People's Committee on appropriate policy evaluation methods. The units try to complete and adjust the report as soon as possible so that the City People's Council has a basis to issue effective business support policies, especially supporting small and medium enterprises. The Standing Vice Chairman in charge of the City People's Council noted that the interest rate support policy for businesses needs to review the conditions for benefits; and soon implement policies to encourage socialization.

Reporting at the monitoring session, the representative of the Department of Planning and Investment said that so far the city has implemented 38 support policies issued by the Central Government and issued 17 support policies at the local level. In addition to the achieved results, some policies have not been implemented effectively or have been implemented late; regulations on conditions, support subjects, and dossier components are still complicated, causing many businesses in need but not eligible to benefit; some policies are still stuck in the legal framework...
The City People's Committee has proposed to the Central Government a number of problems, such as supplementing and amending regulations on concentrated information technology zones in the specialized legal system in the fields of investment, tax, finance, land, construction, environment; promptly introducing sandbox policy (technology on security) into the Law on Digital Technology Industry... The Department of Planning and Investment will review to have a specific report and recommendation for the City People's Committee as requested by the City People's Council's supervision delegation.
