The donation was made to Future Forward USA Action, an arm of Vice President Kamala Harris’ fundraising organization Future Forward. Donors to Future Forward USA Action will remain anonymous.

According to The New York Times citing two informed sources, billionaire Bill Gates discussed with former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg before deciding to donate to Ms. Harris' campaign.

Responding to the above information, Mr. Gates did not directly mention the donation or support for Ms. Harris. Billionaire Bill Gates affirmed that he was ready to work with any candidate. "I support candidates who demonstrate clear commitments to improving health care, reducing poverty, and combating climate change in the United States and around the world .
