Robocon Vietnam 2025 - the largest technology playground for engineering students

Robocon is a competition initiated by the Asia- Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in 2002 and has been maintained continuously until now. The theme and rules of the competition each year will be announced by the host country.

In 2025, the host country Mongolia will host the ABU Robocon competition with the theme "Robots playing Basketball", promising to bring many new challenges, requiring creativity and high practical application ability from the competing teams.

In Vietnam, Robocon 2025 continues to be organized by Vietnam Television (VTV) on a national scale. More than 60 participating teams must go through the preliminary round, taking place on June 5 and 6, to select the 32 best teams to enter the Final Round taking place from June 8-13 in Ninh Binh .

The winning team of Vietnam Robocon 2025 will represent the country at the ABU Robocon 2025 competition in Mongolia.

The highlight of Robocon 2025 is that along with the competition, there is also a series of events "Robotics Connect - Connecting Creativity and Career Opportunities", including: exhibitions and specialized seminars, a forum connecting students, universities, businesses, technology experts and the Robotics enthusiast community.

The robot exhibition booth within the framework of the Robocon 2025 Final Round introduces outstanding products and technology solutions from competing teams, businesses and universities, creating opportunities for students to exchange, learn and gain practical experience.

Robotics Connect is a conference where experts, managers, business representatives and students discuss technology trends, career opportunities, and high-quality human resource development in the fields of Robotics, AI and automation.

Speaking at the Press Conference of the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest 2025 held on May 29 in Hanoi , Journalist Nguyen Thu Ha, Head of VTV's Science and Education Department, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, informed: "Robocon is not only a playground for technical innovation but also an ideal practice environment, helping students develop their thinking, skills and professional qualities.

This year’s basketball competition theme requires teams to maximize their knowledge, creativity and team spirit. In particular, the Robotics Connect event series will expand opportunities for connection, cooperation and development for students, schools and businesses.

We hope that the Contest will help ignite the love of science and technology among young people, thereby contributing to bringing the country into a new era, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise."
