Brilliant art program "Southern amateur music"

Attending the event were leaders: Mr. Phan Van Mai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Mr. Phan Van Mai - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit from the City People's Committee to individuals who have achieved many achievements in preserving and developing the Southern Delta in Ho Chi Minh City.

After 4 days of competition in Group A, 22 amateur bands from districts in Ho Chi Minh City introduced to the audience their musical skills and beautiful voices, through performances and programs with themes closely related to contemporary cultural life.

The special art performance program with the theme "Southern amateur music - Shining heritage" was vividly staged.

In Group B is the Don Ca Tai Tu Festival with nearly 100 performances. The success of the Festival has marked the development of the Don Ca Tai Tu (ĐCTT) movement in Ho Chi Minh City in recent years, especially after 10 years of ĐCTT being honored as a Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

There were 3 programs awarded gold medals: "River rendezvous" by District 8 Cultural - Sports Center; "HCMC is proud of the Southern land" by District 1 Cultural Center and "Forever remember the grace" by Tan Binh District Cultural - Sports Center.

ĐCTT art was formed and developed in the South from the end of the 19th century, based on ceremonial music, royal court music and new compositions on the foundation of folk music , antiphonal singing, and folk songs of the Southern region.

This is a unique art form of the Southern river garden region, expressing the virtues of diligence, simplicity, honesty, generosity, chivalry, and humanity.

The performance of "Ly ngua o" and the medley of "Ly" songs were staged very funny.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals who have actively contributed to the preservation and promotion of the values of the Southern Delta in the city, in the period 2013-2023.

The special art performance program with the theme "Southern amateur music - Shining heritage" was very attractive and full of humanity. It attracted a large number of people and international tourists to attend.

The art performance program is hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center in coordination with the City Cultural Center, Hat Boi Art Theater and Tran Huu Trang Opera Theater.

Artists of the HCM City Hat Boi Art Theater made a beautiful impression on the art program honoring Southern Traditional Opera.

"Southern amateur music - Shining heritage" has 3 chapters: chapter 1 "Fateful ties" - depicts the origin of the formation of the traditional music genre, chapter 2 "Convergence and sublimation" - shows the vitality of traditional music in the lives of Southern people and chapter 3 "Shining heritage" - reflects the spread of traditional music in the heart of modern urban areas and today's social life.

The program has the participation of many People's Artists, Meritorious Artists, amateur musicians, amateur singers, Meritorious Artist Le Tu, Meritorious Artist Le Hong Tham, Artist Ha Nhu, Vo Minh Lam, singers Quoc Dai, Cao Cong Nghia, FM group, 135 group, Mat Ngoc group, May Trang, Mat Troi, ABC dance groups...

After 10 years of being officially recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Ho Chi Minh City has made constant efforts to preserve and promote the value of this unique art form.
