In the next step, the buckwheat seeds and ripe corn seeds will be mixed with a traditional yeast of the indigenous people and brewed in a jar for about 15 days to make the mother wine, then the wine is distilled like other types of wine. To achieve the most delicious flavor, after cooking, the wine is buried underground according to the customs of the Mong people for about one to two years before being used. When brewing buckwheat wine, the Mong people believe that only men can brew the most delicious and flavorful wine.
