There are also performances of Tuong art, singing Bai Choi, painting Tuong masks, lion-monkey-dragon performances and the quintessence of traditional martial arts, folk art performances and exchanges between artisans, etc., thereby recreating a colorful cultural picture of Dien Ban from the past to the present.
At the opening ceremony of the Quang Noodle Festival 2025 taking place on the evening of June 7, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, a representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province presented the decision to include "Folk knowledge of Quang noodles of Quang Nam province" in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Chau - Vice Chairman of Dien Ban Town People's Committee affirmed that Quang noodles is not simply a dish but also a cultural feature in the spiritual life of Quang Nam people. Through many ups and downs, Quang noodles still retain the flavor of their homeland, accompanying the childhood memories of every child of Quang.
In particular, we are even more proud when "Folk knowledge about Quang noodles" is officially listed in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, demonstrating the worthy recognition of the unique traditional cultural values of this cuisine, helping to spread it to friends and diners domestically and internationally.
The uniqueness of this dish is the diversity in the way it is prepared, each season has its own food. Any product such as shrimp, pork, chicken, snakehead fish, frog, flying fish, etc. can be processed into noodles, containing all the characteristics of Quang cuisine, with a diversity of ingredients and flexible, creative characteristics in the preparation method. This dish originates from rural life, so it has the simplicity and rich flavor like the character of Quang people.
Quang Noodle Festival 2025 once again contributes to affirming the cultural value of folk knowledge. Thereby, contributing to promoting the work of preserving and promoting the value, promoting Quang Noodle culinary culture to attract tourists, develop tourism and local economy.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 6, at the opening ceremony of Quang Nam Culture, Sports and Tourism Days 2025 held in Hoi An City, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam also announced and organized the presentation of the decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on including Quang noodles (Quang Nam province) in the list of national intangible cultural heritage in the field of folk knowledge.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam and representatives of 4 households in Hoi An City, Dien Ban Town, Duy Xuyen District, and Nui Thanh District, which are typical households in the profession of making Quang noodles, received this decision.
