Da Nang International Airport completes 100% automatic immigration

(NLDO) – Da Nang International Airport is the first airport in Vietnam to automate 100% of its entry and exit procedures for passengers.

On March 20, at Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) officially handed over the Automatic Immigration Control Gate system (Autogate) to the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security .

The Autogate system aims to modernize the airport, towards a smart airport terminal model, optimize aviation check-in procedures, minimize waiting time and improve passenger experience.

After handover, the system was officially put into operation at Da Nang International Airport, helping to optimize the flow of international passengers while ensuring accuracy and safety in the control process.

Previously, in 2024, AHT cooperated withFPT Software to deploy a smart monitoring and operating system, integrating real-time data. Specifically, the outstanding technologies include: Self Check-in Kiosk and Self Bag-drop to help passengers proactively operate and save time.

Auto Boarding Gate, minimizing staff intervention. AI camera system monitors passenger density, providing data to the operations department to effectively regulate passenger flow. Video call kiosk system and multilingual search screen, supporting passengers to find information more easily.

After handover, Da Nang International Airport will automate 100% of immigration procedures.

In particular, with the sponsorship of 4 automatic immigration gates for the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security, Da Nang International Airport has become the first airport in Vietnam to complete 100% automation from check-in to baggage check-in, immigration procedures and boarding gates.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, a representative of AHT Company said that this event marked an important step in modernizing immigration procedures, helping to improve passenger service quality and optimize airport operations.
