Every spring, when Tet comes, artists in Tuy Phong district eagerly pass around and show off to each other the newly published Spring Literature Special Edition, still smelling of ink.
This is a publication of the Tuy Phong Literature and Arts Association (under the Provincial Literature and Arts Association) licensed by the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House. What is special is that among the local associations of Binh Thuan province, only Tuy Phong Association has been able to produce this publication; and maintaining the publication for nearly 10 years with funding from socialized sources is a great effort of the organizers.
This year, the Tuy Phong Xuan At Ty - 2025 Literature and Arts Special Edition was released quite early in late December 2024, with a print run of 500 copies, which is not a small number for a district association. The publication consists of 124 pages, 16 x 24cm in size, 4 cose paper covers printed with art works by local photographers, along with presentation and illustration techniques, making the special edition quite eye-catching.
Since the first issue was published, this special issue has not only been an attractive and useful playground for Tuy Phong artists, but also a place to exchange and introduce new works of artists from all over the province and the country. The special issue of Spring At Ty - 2025 is no exception, in addition to local artists, there are also artists from other localities, which makes the publication richer and more diverse. In the district, in the field of literature, there are authors: Nguyen Ho Nam, Ho Viet Khue, Vo Minh Chien, Nguyen Phuong, Kinh Duy Trinh, Hanh Thuan...; outside the locality, there are Phan Chinh, Hoang Hanh, Nguyen Dung. In the field of poetry in the district, there are works by Huynh Huu Vo, To Duy Thach, Tran Yen The, Nguyen Duy Sinh, Thai Thi Ngan Khang; outside the district, there are Dong Thuy, Nguyen Lien Chau, Tran Van Nghia. In the field of photography, there are Huynh Trong Lan, Le Nam, Duy Hoa, Le Minh Ngoc...
Readers will be quite surprised by the content, although it is a local special issue, there are quite in-depth research articles. These are: Binh Thuan - The past and present irrigation profession (author Nguyen Phuong; In those days, the Cham people in Tuy Phong land (author Phan Chinh); The leaf forest - A living history of a time (author Do Vu); The national cry in So Ba Nen (author Hoang Hanh).
In the field of literature, there are short stories by authors Ho Viet Khue (Old friends, old stories), Nguyen Ho Nam (Hot bread), Hanh Thuan (There is the ocean far away... very far away), Nguyen Dung (A drop of life still lingers).
In the field of poetry, there are authors Tran Yen The (Spring Day Daughter), Tran Van Nghia (Wandering Afternoon at the End of the Year), Dong Thuy (Moonlit Night at Co Thach Tu), Hoang Thi Ngan Khang (Dream), Pham Binh (Night of Gong Festival), Nguyen Duy Sinh (Wandering Song Following the Birds' Sounds), Ho Viet Khue (The Mountain Foot Inn), Nguyen Lien Chau (Missing Colors). This publication especially includes works by two quite famous poets from Tuy Phong, although they have passed away, their poems are still in the hearts of poetry lovers: Huynh Huu Vo (Quartet Poetry Collection), To Duy Thach (Morning on Ta Cu Mountain).
