Hoa Phat steel sales output reaches 2.6 million tons in the second quarter of 2025

(QNgTV) - In the second quarter of 2025, Hoa Phat Group produced 2.5 million tons of crude steel, equivalent to the first quarter and up 10% over the same period in 2024. Sales output of hot rolled coil (HRC), construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 2.6 million tons, up 9% over the previous quarter and 18% over the same period in 2024.

Hoa Phat steel sales output reaches 2.6 million tons in the second quarter of 2025

Hot rolled coil recorded sales of over 1.1 million tons for the first time in a quarter, up 18% over the first quarter. With 1.3 million tons, Hoa Phat's construction steel and high-quality steel output in the last quarter increased by 7% over the first quarter. Hoa Phat's downstream HRC products such as galvanized steel and steel pipes reached 110,000 tons and 216,000 tons respectively in the second quarter, a sharp increase over the first quarter. In the first 6 months of the year, Hoa Phat Group produced 5.1 million tons of crude steel, up 17% over the first 6 months of 2024. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 5 million tons, up 23% over the first half of last year.

Currently, Hoa Phat Group is focusing on completing and producing products from blast furnace No. 6, aiming to complete phase 2 of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex project in September this year. After completion, the total steel output of the Group will reach 16 million tons/year. Of which, 8.5 million tons of hot rolled coil steel will meet 100% of the demand for this product in the Vietnamese market.
