Continue to maintain the assignment of specialized staff to closely follow the locality in key areas, advise and support farmers in raising and preventing diseases, especially black tiger shrimp and whiteleg shrimp; propagate and mobilize farmers to renovate ponds and lakes, and raise aquatic species according to the stocking schedule. The total aquaculture area in the province reached 89,822 hectares, reaching 82% of the plan. The total output of aquatic products reached 451,933 tons, reaching 46.5% of the plan.
At the same time, urgent and focused tasks and solutions are implemented to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, and to remove the European Commission's "Yellow Card" warning. The total number of registered fishing vessels is currently 4,648.
To date, 2,242 fishing vessels have installed voyage monitoring devices (reaching 99%), of which 21 vessels are subject to suspension of operations and pending sale. Continue to effectively implement the Vietnam Marine Economic Sustainable Development Strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2045; effectively implement solutions to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU) in accordance with regulations.
