Ready for Golden Kite season 20

On the evening of September 9, at That Theater (in Vega City Nha Trang), the 20th Golden Kite Awards ceremony in 2023 will take place. Up to now, all preparations for the ceremony and sideline activities have been urgently completed by related units and businesses to ensure the event is successful and impressive.

Lots of exciting activities

The 2023 Golden Kite Awards ceremony marks the first time the cooperation agreement between Khanh Hoa province, represented by the Department of Culture and Sports (VH-TT), the Vietnam Cinema Association, and Vega City Joint Stock Company (under KDI Holdings Group). In order for the event to be solemn, meaningful, and bring positive results, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to coordinate the organization of the 2023 Golden Kite Awards. Accordingly, from September 1 to 9, a series of activities related to this event will take place.

Mr. Dang Quoc Van - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports said that the department has directed the Provincial Culture and Cinema Center to carry out propaganda and visual promotion in the area of Cam Ranh International Airport, Vega City Joint Stock Company, Tran Phu, Pham Van Dong, 2-4, 23-10 streets... The Provincial Culture and Cinema Center also conducts mobile screenings of Golden Kite award-winning films over the years in the coastal park area of Nha Trang City and in remote areas of the province. The Department of Culture and Sports has worked specifically with relevant agencies and businesses to ensure security, safety, and electricity supply... On the evening of September 9, people and tourists in the city center can watch the red carpet activities and the award ceremony program on a large LED screen at 2-4 Square.

Information from Vega City Joint Stock Company, the unit that organized the food festival with 22 booths in Vega City Nha Trang, introducing typical products such as: Bird's nest, coffee, Ngoc Linh ginseng... Along with that, there is also a movie screening area on the beach showing free movies participating in this year's Golden Kite Award. The activity with the theme "Brilliant Dawn" with the flag-raising ceremony to welcome the dawn at Square 2-4 by artists and actors participating in the Golden Kite on the morning of September 9 has also been prepared. Next, the artists and actors will ride bicycles to promote environmental protection on some main streets.

One of the highlights of this event is the Wall of Fame at Vega City Nha Trang. This is the first project in Vietnam to recognize and honor outstanding individuals and groups who have made important contributions to the country's 7th art. The Wall of Fame with 433 stars represents 107 outstanding works, 297 outstanding individuals who are authors, artists, actors, filmmakers and 29 veteran filmmakers of the Vietnamese cinema industry. In the near future, the Wall of Fame is expected to become an attractive check-in point for tourists when coming to Nha Trang.

Preparations for the fashion red carpet and the Golden Kite Awards ceremony are also being rushed to completion by Vega City Joint Stock Company. The red carpet area will have check-in and photo spots, and a 20-year cinema road commemoration area. In addition, there are areas for audiences to interact and take photos with their favorite artists and actors. The organizers also arranged 2 LED screens so that audiences can watch the awards ceremony live inside the That Theater. The awards night stage promises to bring live audiences and television viewers impressions with its novelty and modernity.

Filmmakers' Day

According to information from the Organizing Committee, this year's Golden Kite Awards ceremony attracted more than 300 domestic artists and actors to participate. Along with veteran artists such as: People's Artist Tra Giang, Kim Xuan, Cat Phuong, Dao Ba Son..., there were also the presence of promising young faces such as: Thanh Son, Kha Ngan, Doan Quoc Dam, Thanh Duy, Huyen Lizzie, Quynh Kool, Hariwon... "Another Golden Kite season has come to the coastal city of Nha Trang. I believe this year's awards will have many better works, many more wonderful contributions from colleagues. Hopefully, this year the Golden Kite will fly higher and further; find many more quality and meaningful products", actor Thanh Son shared.

The 2023 Golden Kite Festival will also be attended by international guests representing the Organizing Committee of the Asian Film Festival (AWFF) in the US. This unit mainly introduces works for the best international feature films and the best films nominated for Oscars and Golden Globes from Asia, with the aim of promoting and strengthening the relationship between the Asian film industry and Hollywood. Attending this event, representatives of AWFF promise to bring award-winning films this year and in the following years to premiere at the Asian Film Festival in the US.
