200 students from grades 10 and 11 of Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary, Secondary, and High School are practicing for a flashmob dance performance to the song "Ha Long in the Glorious Summer Days".
For weeks now, more than 1,000 artists from various performance groups participating in the Ha Long Carnival 2025 have been actively practicing. At Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary, Secondary, and High School (Ha Long City), 200 students from grades 10 and 11 have been mobilized to practice for a flashmob dance performance to the song "Ha Long in the Glorious Summer Days".
Tran Tuong Vy, an 11th-grade student from Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary, Secondary, and High School, shared: "I am very honored and proud to participate in the Ha Long Carnival 2025, thereby contributing a small part to promoting tourism in my hometown, as well as spreading the image of a friendly and hospitable Quang Ninh. Although the weather is quite hot and humid, my friends and I are all trying our best to practice to bring the most beautiful and impressive performances to the audience."

This year's stage recreates the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay, combining traditional art and modern technology. At the center is a magnificent rocky mountain symbol, surrounded by lighting effects and unique artistic models, depicting the interplay between culture and nature. This space celebrates Quang Ninh as a vibrant heritage, a convergence of excellence, and affirms its status as a world heritage site and wonder. To date, the stage and grandstand areas are being actively constructed and installed by various units to ensure timely completion and adherence to the technical design.
Mr. Vo Van Tam, General Director of the Ha Long Carnival 2025 program, said: "The Ha Long Carnival 2025 utilizes the most modern art and advanced technology available today. The performances and scenes in the program are presented using contemporary artistic language, with mapping, lasers, light shows, and cutting-edge technological effects, creating a festival space that keeps pace with global trends. The program uses 10 high-power projectors manufactured in the USA and Belgium to display all the illustrative images for the artistic performances. The stage is constructed using rock formations to project 3D mapping."

The Ha Long Carnival 2025 will return with a parade that truly embodies the spirit and essence of a carnival. Visitors can directly participate in the parade with 5 floats, immerse themselves in the largest open-air stage in Quang Ninh , and be captivated by vibrant DJ music and emotional performances. The lively music and dazzling costumes transform the Ha Long Carnival into a spectacular street party. The program also includes the participation of students from across the province in various activities.
To ensure security and order for the program, the Provincial Police developed a plan and conducted surveys of Sun Carnival Square, Vo Nguyen Giap Street in Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City (where the Carnival program took place), and the accommodation and dining areas for delegates. In addition, they advised on the assignment of tasks to various forces to coordinate efforts in gathering information, ensuring security and order, traffic management, logistics, and medical services for the program; and to cooperate in combating various types of crime and hostile forces exploiting the program for criminal activities.
Provincial police officers surveyed the area and ensured security and order for the program.
The provincial police also coordinated the dissemination of information and requested hotels and accommodation establishments in the area to ensure security and order, food safety and hygiene, fire prevention and control, and living conditions for delegates, guests, and tourists. To date, all plans to ensure security and order and traffic safety for the activities of the Ha Long Carnival 2025 program have been implemented synchronously by the provincial police in close coordination with localities in Ha Long City and relevant departments and agencies.
The Provincial Police Department's leadership has assigned senior officers to directly inspect, monitor, and supervise the implementation of measures and plans to ensure security and safety. They have also developed contingency plans to be ready to respond to any situation, especially at the Carnaval event, ensuring absolute safety for the public and delegates attending.
The Ha Long Carnival 2025 is one of the special events in the series of activities of the Ha Long Summer Tourism Week 2025. The program takes place at 8 PM on May 1st in Bai Chay ward, bringing together thousands of professional actors and artists, international art troupes, and artisans. With the theme: “Ha Long Carnival 2025 - Connecting Heritage, Pioneering and Shining”, the program consists of four parts: Opening Ceremony; Ha Long Carnival Grand Ball; DJ Performance; and High-Altitude Artistic Fireworks Display.
This year's Carnival program has many distinctive highlights, including the convergence of intangible cultural heritage from the three regions of Vietnam, honoring national identity against the backdrop of a world natural wonder combined with modern technologies such as 3D mapping, lasers, and light shows. The grandstand for the Ha Long Carnival 2025 is the largest ever, with a total of 15,000 seats to serve the public and tourists (an increase of 5,000 seats compared to 2024).
