Nearly 100 private sector enterprises participated
Held from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center, this event is not only a place to review history but also a platform to honor the role of the Industry and Trade sector in the journey of national development.
Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned by the Party and State to organize two main areas at the exhibition. The first area focuses on displaying the achievements of the Industry and Trade sector over 80 years of history. From the early days of the resistance war to the industrialization and modernization period in the "Development and Construction" space. The second area is the "Startup and National Construction" space, which honors the role of the private economy in the spirit of Resolution 68 of the Politburo. In particular, the "Startup and National Construction" exhibition area undertaken by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with an area of 1.9 hectares, a total display area of about 9,500 m2, has mobilized nearly 100 enterprises in the private economic sector to participate, demonstrating active participation and great contribution to the overall success of the industry.

Regarding the progress of the exhibition, Mr. Ta Manh Cuong, Director of the Center for Trade and Investment Promotion Support (Department of Trade Promotion) said that at the exhibition area of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, workers are completing items on schedule. The design of this area is unified with the identity and colors of the Vietnam National Brand program as the theme, aiming to promote prestigious products and the country's image to the world and domestically. Enterprises are guided to design typical messages for each historical period.
The exhibition area consists of 2 areas according to main industry groups, including: Heavy industry and foundation industry, mechanical engineering (Hall 3); Light industry, food and beverage, services, technology and innovation (Hall 4). In each area, businesses in the same industry will be arranged into clusters of displays close to each other, arranged to ensure spatial harmony, creating conditions for businesses to promote their strengths. Each exhibition area of each business and corporation has a maximum area of about 200m2, minimum 36m2. Each business is given 1 exhibition area; priority is given to central locations and main roads for Vietnam National Brand businesses, typical businesses, leading businesses in industries and fields; each exhibition area of a business must have open space, minimizing closed walls.
Mr. Ta Manh Cuong said that with the theme "80 years of the Industry and Trade sector growing with the country", the exhibition area of the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the Development Creation space introduces the formation, development process and outstanding achievements of the sector in the period of innovation and integration.
The exhibition focuses on typical areas such as: industrial production, energy, trade and international economic integration. At the same time, it introduces new development policies and guidelines of the industry along with industrial promotion, trade promotion, import and export, e-commerce and international cooperation.
Digital applications recreate 80 years of achievements of the Industry and Trade sector
Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thu, Editor-in-Chief of Industry and Trade Magazine, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the preparation of the Exhibition "80 years of Industry and Trade growing with the country" said that the exhibition of 80 years of Industry and Trade not only brings together the achievements of the industry but also is a message about the aspiration to rise up and the creative spirit of today's generation of entrepreneurs.
The exhibition area of the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the Development Creation Space (a joint exhibition area of ministries and sectors) has the theme: "80 years of the Industry and Trade sector growing with the country". It is divided into 5 areas: Celebration area; Industry and Trade sector area - 80 years of glorious history; Industry and Trade sector area - Achievements and imprints; Industry and Trade sector area in the era of the country's rise; Experience and interaction area. "Up to now, 80% of the preparations for the exhibition have been completed. We are assembling the entire display booth, next week we will assemble electronic equipment items such as LED screens, touch screens, holograms and prepare to print media publications for the exhibition", Ms. Thu said.

According to Ms. Thu, the biggest challenge in the implementation process is the time factor. However, thanks to the close direction of the Minister and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, and the support from the units, the work progress is still guaranteed. Industry and Trade Magazine has the advantage of having presided over the construction of the Traditional Room and compiled the Industry History Book, making it easier to collect documents and images. However, converting historical content into exhibition language requires effort and creativity. Collecting artifacts is also a big challenge because the Industry and Trade sector has gone through many stages of separation and integration, and documents are scattered. Therefore, a scientific and comprehensive plan is needed to cover it all. The exhibition combines traditional forms and modern digital technology, such as video presentations, touch screens, 3D films, holograms, etc. to convey historical information, achievements and development goals of the industry in a vivid and attractive way for viewers.
Over 80 years of development, the Industry and Trade sector has built two solid pillars: industry and trade, contributing significantly to the national economic and technical foundation. The milestones of the sector are always associated with the history of revolution, affirming its pioneering role in production, mechanism innovation and international integration.
The exhibition of achievements "80 years of Industry and Trade growing with the country" in the series of events "Radiant Vietnam" is not only an occasion to honor the industry's traditions, but also a tribute to previous generations and a message of trust to future generations.
In just 3 months of preparation, the journey to make the exhibition has brought many emotions, because behind each document and artifact is a story about the dedication and silent sacrifice of the people in the Industry and Trade sector - those who have been and are contributing to building the country. "We hope that through the exhibition, the public and the children of the industry will be inspired, continue the tradition to continue writing the glorious journey of the nation", Ms. Thu emphasized.
Currently, workers are speeding up the progress to ensure completion and handover of the site as well as items serving the National Socio-Economic Achievements Exhibition with the theme "Brilliant Vietnam - 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
