Conference to introduce information about the 25th Vietnam-China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai), 2025

Implementing the National Program on Trade Promotion in 2025, on August 19, in Kunming (China), the Center for Investment, Trade Promotion and Enterprise Support of Lao Cai province in coordination with the Yunnan Provincial Trade Promotion Association and the Honghe District Commerce Department organized a conference to introduce information on the 25th Vietnam-China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai) in 2025.

Representatives of the Exhibition Department of the Yunnan Provincial Trade Promotion Association, the Honghe Provincial Department of Commerce, Yunnan Province (China) and leaders of the Departments of Finance and Industry and Trade ( Lao Cai Province) chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Exhibition Department of the Yunnan Provincial Trade Promotion Association and the Honghe Zhou Commerce Bureau, Yunnan Province (China).

On the Vietnamese side, there were leaders of the departments of Finance, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Office; and the Provincial Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support.

The conference was also attended by more than 40 businesses from Vietnam and China.

At the conference, the leaders of the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Finance introduced Lao Cai province (after the merger) and the system of customs border gates; the potentials, strengths, trade economy and border gates of the province; information about the 25th Vietnam-China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai) in 2025. At the same time, they answered questions related to the fair and support for businesses of Lao Cai province and Hong Ha Chau, Yunnan province, China; supported Chinese businesses to meet with representatives of local authorities and Vietnamese businesses to learn about import-export mechanisms and policies and cooperation in import-export of goods between the two sides.

In addition, Vietnamese enterprises introduced and promoted Vietnam's export products; and exchanged and discussed business cooperation opportunities with Chinese enterprises.

In recent times, Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and the authorities at all levels of Yunnan province (China) have increased exchanges and cooperation to remove difficulties for businesses; jointly seek solutions to promote trade cooperation between the two sides, contributing to promoting the stable, healthy, balanced and sustainable development of economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China; ensuring that customs clearance and the supply chain of goods through border gates are maintained stably, smoothly and conveniently; strengthening cooperation and information sharing in the fields of customs clearance at border gates, traceability, border trade and development of goods markets...

To promote the import and export of agricultural products, fruits and aquatic products, Lao Cai province commits to creating all favorable conditions in terms of: infrastructure at border gates, administrative procedures, import and export support services; regularly organizing conferences and trade programs to connect businessmen of Vietnam and China; promptly working with the authorities of Yunnan province (China) to remove difficulties and obstacles in import and export activities.

The 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai) in 2025 has important and practical significance in promoting economic, trade and tourism cooperation between Lao Cai province in particular, Vietnam in general with Yunnan province and the Southwest region - China, contributing to increasing the value of import and export of goods through Lao Cai province's border gate; gradually building Lao Cai into an important gateway, a center connecting economic trade between Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the Southwest region - China.
