Regarding the preparations for the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong Do Van Loi said: Up to this point, the departments, branches, sectors and units of Hai Phong city have coordinated, synchronously, urgently and seriously deployed specific tasks, fully prepared human resources, locations and facilities to serve the organization of competitions in 15 subjects at 19 competition locations.

Hai Phong Department of Education and Training has coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports to establish professional groups, develop plans, implement and promptly report on the progress of assigned tasks.

To ensure the National Phu Dong Sports Festival takes place safely and achieves high results, the Department of Education and Training has coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Health , Hai Phong City Youth Union, and Department of Tourism to establish and organize a training conference for a force of nearly 300 volunteers participating in supporting the organization.

Hai Phong City also conducted a survey of facilities, conditions to ensure security, medical safety, food hygiene and safety, traffic, electricity, travel, and accommodation for athletes, coaches, and the number of participants during the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival.

Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong Tran Thi Hoang Mai said: Up to this point, all the preparations that the unit has undertaken are ready. In particular, the preparation for the opening ceremony, the organization of 15 competitions and the communication and propaganda work about the Sports Festival have been carried out according to the schedule and plan. The personnel participating in the main events have been actively trained and rehearsed to bring about the best results.

The Department of Culture and Sports has also coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to prepare the conditions for referees to participate in refereeing during the competition according to the number required by the Ministry of Education and Training. The Department has also coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training and inter-sectoral units to review and inspect the conditions of facilities and professional equipment to ensure that they meet the requirements of the professional department.

Regarding propaganda work, the Department of Culture and Sports has proactively coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications, news agencies and newspapers to ensure communication throughout the Sports Festival.

According to the representative of Hai Phong Department of Tourism, in order to meet the needs and serve the athletes as well as the large number of participants, the unit has reviewed, arranged and arranged accommodation to ensure security, safety and social order. In addition, on the Department of Tourism's information pages, it has posted and promoted the landmarks, tourist attractions and food services in Hai Phong to meet the tourism and entertainment needs of the large number of participants.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi highly appreciated Hai Phong city's initiative in preparing for the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024. Despite the urgent time and large amount of work, the locality is ready for all tasks.

Affirming that this is a major national event, the Deputy Minister noted that the preparation work needs to be reviewed and carried out meticulously, carefully and thoughtfully to avoid mistakes. For the professional working group, the Deputy Minister suggested that the competition be carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations, and in the spirit of exchange and learning with the aim of spreading the spirit of sportsmanship in schools.

According to the Deputy Minister, the National Phu Dong Sports Festival, although not taking place for a long time, gathers a large number of people and many tasks need to be done at the same time. Therefore, the organization is an extremely important step, requiring detailed, specific and clear assignment of tasks and responsibilities; only then can we anticipate and handle any abnormalities that may occur.

Security, safety, celebration, communication, etc. are also issues that the Deputy Minister has brought to the attention of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee and the coordinating units for full and effective implementation, contributing to the success of the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival.

As planned, the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024 will hold its opening ceremony on the evening of July 28, 2024 in Hai Phong city.
