The industrial production index (IPP) in July is estimated to increase by 0.5% over the previous month and by 8.5% over the same period last year.
In July alone, the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 9.1 % over the same period last year; the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 9.3 %; electricity production and distribution increased by 7.0 % ; and the mining industry increased by 2.6 % .
Industrial production increased in all 34 localities.
In the first 7 months, in the general increase of 8.6% of IPP, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 10.3% (in the same period of 2024, it increased by 9.6 % ), contributing 8.5 percentage points to the general increase; the electricity production and distribution industry increased by 4.6% (in the same period of 2024, it increased by 12.0%), contributing 0.4 percentage points; the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 10.4% (in the same period of 2024, it increased by 7.1 % ), contributing 0.1 percentage points; the mining industry decreased by 2.7 % (in the same period of 2024, it decreased by 6.6 % ), causing a decrease of 0.4 percentage points.
At the same time, the 7-month IPP of some key secondary industries increased compared to the same period last year. For example: Motor vehicle production increased by 29.9%; rubber and plastic product production increased by 16.9%; leather and related products production increased by 15.4%; other non-metallic mineral products production increased by 14.8%;...

Since the beginning of the year, Industrial production increased in all 34 localities . Some localities had a fairly high IIP index thanks to the processing and manufacturing industry; the electricity production and distribution industry increased highly.
In addition, some key industrial products also increased compared to the same period last year: Automobiles increased by 64.4%; TVs increased by 21.1%; NPK mixed fertilizer increased by 19.7%; casual clothes increased by 14.9%; cement increased by 14.8% . On the contrary, some products decreased compared to the same period last year : Gaseous natural gas decreased by 12.9%; synthetic fiber textiles decreased by 5.2%; crude oil decreased by 3.1%; .. .
Also according to the General Statistics Office, the number of employees working in industrial enterprises as of July 1, 2025 increased by 1.0% over the same period last month and increased by 3.9% over the same period last year. /.
