On the morning of December 20, SJC Company listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at 81.6 million VND/tael and the selling price at 83.6 million VND/tael, down 500,000 VND/tael compared to the end of yesterday. In the past 2 days, the gold price has lost 1.5 million VND/tael. This is also the transaction price at DOJI and Mi Hong.

Meanwhile, other businesses such as PNJ Company and Bao Tin Minh Chau still maintain the price of gold bars equal to the end of yesterday at 84.1 million VND/tael.

At banks, Eximbank sharply adjusted the price of SJC gold bars down to 81.6 million VND/tael for buying and 83.6 million VND/tael for selling.

Sacombank and ACB still sell gold bars at 84.1 million VND and buy at 82.6 million VND/tael, equivalent to the price at the end of December 19.

SJC gold bar and gold ring prices continue to decrease this morning

Similarly, the price of plain gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds also plummeted. SJC Company traded 99.99 gold rings at VND81.6 million/tael for purchase and VND83.3 million/tael for sale, down VND500,000 per tael. In the past 2 days, the price of plain gold rings also decreased by about VND1.1 million/tael.

DOJI Group sells 99.99 gold rings at 83.55 million VND/tael, down one million VND per tael compared to yesterday.

Meanwhile, PNJ Company suddenly increased the selling price of gold rings to 83.9 million VND/tael. Mi Hong Company sold the highest price of gold rings, up to 84 million VND/tael.

Because the world gold price has fluctuated strongly in recent days, the domestic price of SJC gold bars and gold rings cannot keep up, so there is a gap between businesses.

In particular, with 99.99 plain gold rings from brands such as PNJ, DOJI, Bao Tin Minh Chau... customers will often "buy where they sell" so the gold price is also listed by each business.

In the international market, the price of gold today has had a very strong adjustment, at times falling below the 2,600 USD/ounce range, down to only 2,588 USD/ounce, the lowest in the past few weeks.

At 8:45 a.m. Vietnam time, the world gold price was trading at 2,601 USD/ounce.

Precious metals on the international market have fluctuated strongly in the past two days after the US Federal Reserve (FED) lowered interest rates but revealed that it would narrow the rate cut momentum. The number of interest rate adjustments in 2025 was reduced from 4 times as initially forecast to only 2 times in the latest announcement.

If calculated from the all-time peak at 2,790 USD/ounce, gold price has lost nearly 200 USD/ounce.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 80 million VND/tael.
