This is an important event in the series of activities celebrating 70 years of development of Sanofi in Vietnam and 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France. The meeting was also attended by People's Physician. Associate Professor. Dr. Luong Ngoc Khue - Vice Chairman of the National Medical Council, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health , Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the Program on Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases.
After the meeting, the delegation visited Sanofi's high-tech manufacturing plant. With an initial investment of 75 million USD and continuous investment in upgrading equipment, production lines and modern technology, this Sanofi factory not only serves the domestic pharmaceutical market but also exports to many Asian countries. This is also where Sanofi has its only product Research & Development center in Southeast Asia.

2023 marks the 70th anniversary of Sanofi's establishment and development in Vietnam.
At the event, delegates also witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in implementing the "iSTEP D PLUS Online Program - Online training program on diabetes management and treatment" jointly implemented by the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment - Ministry of Health , Vietnam Diabetes and Endocrinology Association and Sanofi Vietnam. The program aims to improve the professional capacity of grassroots medical staff, thereby developing the capacity to manage and treat diabetes at the grassroots level, reducing the burden on upper-level hospitals, and improving the quality of life of patients.
