After 5 days of suspension, the electronic tax system has been operational again.

(NLDO)- The electronic tax system has been reactivated after a temporary suspension to upgrade and convert items.

On March 17, the Tax Department ( Ministry of Finance ) announced that from 8:00 a.m. on the same day, the entire electronic tax system, after a temporary suspension (from 5:00 p.m. on March 12 to 8:00 a.m. on March 17) to serve the upgrading and conversion of tax authority categories, has officially resumed operation.

The electronic tax system has resumed operations after a five-day suspension.

Currently, the organizational structure of the Tax Department implements a model of 20 regional tax branches and 350 district-level tax teams (replacing the previous 63 tax departments and affiliated tax branches).

Director of the Tax Department Mai Xuan Thanh directed units in the entire tax sector to pay special attention to the work of converting data and applying tax management to ensure absolute safety. The determination is that immediately after the conversion, the operation will be deployed smoothly to serve people and businesses conducting transactions in the electronic tax environment.

Previously, the Tax Department announced the suspension of a number of electronic tax systems to serve the upgrading to meet the restructuring and arrangement of tax agencies. Specifically, from 5:00 p.m. on March 12 to 8:00 a.m. on March 17, the electronic tax payment function on electronic tax systems, including the e-commerce portal, the electronic information portal for households and individuals doing e-commerce on digital platforms, the e-Tax application, and the e-tax application for individuals, will be suspended.

eTax Mobile application, the information portal system serving information exchange with external units and organizations, has also temporarily stopped operating.

Taxpayers continue to carry out tax administrative procedures (except electronic tax payment) on electronic tax channels, directly receive, and post during this upgrading and conversion process. The Tax Department notes that there may be delays in resolving and returning results.
