According to Gaming Bolt , Sea of Stars game director Thierry Boulanger revealed that his studio is currently working on a DLC (expansion pack) for the recently released JRPG.
Speaking on Radio Canada, Boulanger said the studio is currently split into two teams, with one working on a new project and the smaller team handling the creation of DLC for Sea of Stars , according to GamesRadar.

While news from director Boulanger is somewhat reassuring for Sea of Stars fans, the studio had previously revealed that it would be producing DLC for the game as one of its Kickstarter goals, back when the game was still crowdfunding in 2020. According to an old update on the Sea of Stars Kickstarter page, the studio had named the expansion Throes of the Watchmaker.
Since its release in late August, Sea of Stars has achieved considerable success, selling 100,000 copies on its first day. The game has also achieved notable success in terms of reviews, with an average rating of 89 points on OpenCritic.
Sea of Stars is a turn-based role-playing game inspired by classic works. Players are free to explore the style and setting of classic Japanese games, with quests involving maze navigation, treasure hunts, and fishing. The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The game has also been verified for Steam Deck.
