Shark Binh arrested: Revealing the "golden goose" of the real estate industry NextLand

(Dan Tri) - Shark Binh's real estate company NextLand used accounting records to deal with and conceal the company's appropriation.

On October 14, Hanoi City Police announced that the Investigation Police Agency had prosecuted Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh (aka Shark Binh, Chairman of NextTech Group) to investigate the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

Notably, in addition to the AntEx cryptocurrency project, Shark Binh also participates in the real estate sector with NextLand Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company.

NextLand Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company was established in February 2021 with a charter capital of 20 billion VND. At that time, the legal representative and director was Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh. The company's headquarters is located at VTC online building, No. 18 Tam Trinh ( Hanoi ).

In early 2022, the company had a new legal representative and director, Mr. Doan Van Tuan (born in 1992). At this time, the shareholder structure included Mr. Doan Van Tuan holding 40%; Ms. Nguyen Ha Thuy holding 24%; the remaining 36% was held by Ms. Le Thi Quyen.

In March 2022, the company increased its charter capital to 70 billion VND. By April 2022, the company continued to increase its charter capital to 150 billion VND.

In December 2024, the company suddenly reduced its charter capital to 142 billion VND. In the middle of this year, the company continued to reduce its charter capital to 86 billion VND.

By September, NextLand continued to reduce its charter capital to 73 billion VND. Mr. Dao Manh Dung is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director and legal representative of NextLand. In addition, Mr. Dung is also the legal representative of a series of other businesses in the NextTech ecosystem.

According to Hanoi Police, Shark Binh directed the establishment of NextLand. After a while, he assigned Doan Van Tuan and Nguyen Ha Thuy as legal representatives.

The company assigned Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Tran Thi Thuy Van, Nguyen Ha Thuy, and Doan Van Tuan to use accounting records to deal with and conceal the company's appropriation.

Mr. Binh directed his employees to falsify documents, contracts, and payment statements to cover up illegal financial activities, causing especially large losses to investors.

Based on the investigation documents, on October 10, Hanoi Police prosecuted Shark Binh and 9 other suspects for fraud and appropriation of property; at the same time, they are considering further handling of the act of using fake documents of agencies and organizations.

The City Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case, identifying subjects related to member companies in the ecosystem of NextTech Group.
