This morning (June 27), candidates completed the 2025 high school graduation exam with two optional exams - the final part of the two official exam days.

At the Trung Vuong Secondary School (Hanoi) exam site, the candidates were in an excited mood, partly because they did well on the test and partly because they passed the exam marking their 12 years of hard study. As one of the candidates who left the exam site the earliest, Nguyen Ngoc Thai Son from Viet Duc High School confidently scored around 9 points for the two optional exams in Physics and English. "The test wasn't too difficult, it was within my ability to do what I had studied," Son said. The male student jumped up to celebrate like a soccer player after scoring a goal.

Many candidates walked out of the school gate with bright smiles on their faces.

Three female candidates put their arms around each other's shoulders to celebrate completing the exam.

An Khanh, a student at Viet Duc High School, said that this year's exam was more difficult than the sample exam of the Ministry of Education and Training . However, the female student is still confident that she will get a high score. On the final exam day, her whole family, from her parents to her relatives, were present to encourage An Khanh. "I am very happy, no matter what the result is, I am very touched because my whole family came here to cheer me on," the female student emotionally shared.

Some parents could not hide their emotions, burst into tears and hugged their children. After months of anxious companionship, the high school graduation exam ended and all the tension exploded in the arms of love.

Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Xuan (Dong Da district, Hanoi ) brought a bouquet of fresh flowers and the national flag to congratulate her son after the final exam. She shared that this was not only a milestone marking the end of her son's student life, but also the beginning of his journey to adulthood. "The red flag with a yellow star is the gift I want to give my son - as a reminder of my love for the country, following him throughout his journey to adulthood," the female parent choked up.

At the exam site of Tran Phu High School (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), many candidates were happy, high-fived, and hugged their relatives after successfully completing the optional exam in the high school graduation exam.

The male student raised his hand high and smiled brightly after completing his elective exam well.

Nguyen Minh Duc jumped up, hugged his friend who was waiting at the gate and shouted: "The stressful days of studying for exams are over."

Taking the Physics and English exams, Ly Hoang Anh, a student at Viet Duc High School, assessed that this year's exam was generally quite easy, he did about 90%. However, the Physics exam had many questions that required quick calculations, requiring multiple steps and time to summarize the questions and grasp the facts to be able to solve them.

Also commenting on the exam, Hai My, a student at Viet Duc High School, said that the Physics exam had clear differentiation. “The first part was quite basic, but the second half had many tricky questions, and if you are not sure about the formulas, it is easy to get confused. I completed about 85% but had to work hard at the end,” My said, adding that she had to spend nearly 30 minutes at the end to calculate two high-level application questions.

Many families took the opportunity to take souvenir photos with their children, recording the moment marking the end of an important journey.

“The pressure of studying is constant, after every exam I have to worry about the results. Now I feel really relieved. A few friends and I have made plans to go to the movies this weekend, then go somewhere far away for a few days to ‘refresh’ before the results come out,” a female student at Tran Phu High School exam site shared.

No longer showing the usual tension seen in previous exams, the students laughed and talked happily, many even jumped up for joy.

The last day of the 2025 high school graduation exam has 9 subjects in the same session, each subject has 48 multiple choice questions, test time is 50 minutes/subject, candidates choose no more than 2 subjects.

This is the first time the graduation exam has 9 subjects in one session. Each subject has 48 exam codes - a record so far. The exam will have differentiated questions requiring solutions to practical problems. The content of the questions is mainly from the 12th grade program, but there are still questions related to grades 10 and 11.

The 2025 high school graduation exam scores were announced on July 16. Students can start registering and adjusting their university admission wishes until July 28.
