Regarding refereeing, Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc - General Director of VPF Company, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee of the Super Cup - shared: "We have closely coordinated with the Referee Board to appoint referees and assistant referees with high professional qualifications, stable performance and good evaluation throughout the 2024-2025 season".
Notably, the match will apply VAR technology and there will be the presence of FIFA members to watch and evaluate the VAR work in Vietnam in recent times. “This is a great honor, and also an opportunity for us to continue to improve and enhance the quality of match management according to international standards,” Mr. Ngoc emphasized.
Regarding the ticket sales issue mentioned by journalist Khuong Xuan (Tuoi Tre newspaper), Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province - said: "Ticket prices for the match range from 20,000 to 80,000 VND, suitable for people's conditions. Mr. Nguyen Tien Duc - Deputy Head of VPF Competition Organization Department announced the regulations: At the 2024/25 National Football Super Cup - THACO Cup, each team registers a minimum of 18 players, a maximum of 30 players. Of which, a minimum of 18 professional players, 3 goalkeepers, 2 foreign players of Vietnamese origin, 1 Vietnamese player of foreign origin, 7 foreign players. In the list of 11 players, each team uses a maximum of 3 foreign players, a maximum of 2 foreign players of Vietnamese origin and 1 Vietnamese player of foreign origin.
The National Super Cup – THACO 2025 officially opens at 5:45 p.m. and will start at 6:00 p.m. on August 9 at Thien Truong Stadium. There will be no extra time in the match. If the two teams are tied after 90 minutes of official play, a penalty shootout will be held to determine the winner.
The Super Cup winning team will receive 300 million VND in prize money. The participating teams will receive 200 million VND. The first goal scorer and the best player of the match will receive 10 million VND.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province - thanked the Organizing Committee for continuing to choose Thien Truong Stadium as the venue to host the 2024/25 National Super Cup - Thaco Cup. This is the second consecutive time that Ninh Binh province has been honored to host one of the top matches of Vietnamese football.
“The event is not only of sporting significance but also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day,” he emphasized.
By hosting this match, football fans in Ninh Binh and neighboring areas have the opportunity to directly watch an exciting match. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Ninh Binh to promote the image of natural scenery, people and local culture to domestic and international friends.
Mr. Cuong added that Ninh Binh province is currently a merger of three localities including Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh and Ha Nam.
