People's Artist Tran Hieu has just celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by the love of his family, friends and students. In particular, the wishes from famous singers such as Trong Tan and Tan Minh - his excellent students - expressed deep affection for the beloved teacher.

"Happy 90th birthday to our teacher. I don't know what else to say, I just hope he stays healthy and happy," singer Trong Tan expressed on his personal page.
Meanwhile, singer Tan Minh shared: "My teacher's birthday is 90 years old. As soon as he arrived, he whispered to me where we should go together. I agree! After April 30, there will be a trip out of Hanoi with his 3 musketeers and some of his beautiful female students. His students only wish him good health and happiness."

People's Artist Tran Hieu, born in 1936 in Hanoi, is one of the rare bass male singers in Vietnamese music . In particular, he is known not only for his singing talent but also for laying the foundation for the humorous and witty performance style in 20th century Vietnamese music .
Even at the age of 90, People's Artist Tran Hieu still maintains the habit of practicing his voice every day, something he always keeps in mind and teaches his students. "Practicing his voice and singing is like eating rice, if you don't eat, you die," he once shared.
In 2016, People's Artist Tran Hieu was awarded a certificate by the Vietnam Record Organization as the oldest People's Artist still performing on the music stage, proving his intense love for art.
Despite his old age and many health problems, People's Artist Tran Hieu still lives happily with his wife - Mrs. Minh Nga, whom he often calls his "fairy" and "health police". Recently, the artist couple moved from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi to live closer to relatives and students.
People's Artist Tran Hieu is the father of singer Tran Thu Ha (Ha Tran), and the brother of musician Tran Tien. He has trained many generations of famous singers such as People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Tan Minh, Trong Tan and many other artists.
