On November 2, FPT Corporation organized the Leader Talk program (connecting the community of leaders, entrepreneurs with students) for students at Foreign Trade University, Hanoi.

Opening the program, Mr. Nguyen The Phuong - Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation realized that students of Foreign Trade University Hanoi have the ability to self-study and are trained to be proactive when accepting new things. This is a strong point for them to work at FPT. Mr. Phuong also pointed out the opportunity to self-study from colleagues and predecessors when students of Foreign Trade University Hanoi apply to the corporation.

“The Hanoi Foreign Trade University signed a cooperation agreement with FPT to create opportunities for students to intern and practice while still in the classroom. The sooner students are exposed to a practical environment, the sooner they will mature,” said the Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation.

Mr. Nguyen The Phuong - Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation shared that FTU students have many opportunities at FPT.

According to Mr. Phuong, FPT currently has 8,000 employees who did not study Information Technology at university level but still work in important positions. Mr. Phuong is a former student of Foreign Economics and currently holds the position of Deputy General Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Group.

In the Leader Talk - Journey To Your Future program for students of Foreign Trade University, Hanoi, speakers from FPT Corporation and Ms. Pham Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the school discussed job opportunities for students and answered questions from young people.

Pham Thu Huong - Vice Principal of Hanoi Foreign Trade University shared that through a survey of 54,000 alumni of the school, they often choose to work in two leading fields: Information Technology and University Education.

FPT’s cooperation with Hanoi Foreign Trade University is the right move for both sides to bring early experience in a professional working environment for the school’s students. In the coming time, Hanoi Foreign Trade University hopes to receive advice from FPT technology experts, bring technology into the training program and guide students. Ms. Huong also hopes to open a new field - training in Data Science and Computer Science in the future.

Mr. Tran Dang Hoa - Chairman of FPT Information System Company is also a former student of Hanoi Foreign Trade University. Mr. Hoa shared that in 2023, FPT Corporation received the prestigious certification and title of Great Place To Work for "Excellent Workplace".

According to Mr. Pham Manh Hung - Director in charge of Synnex FPT partnership, in addition to knowledge, students need to learn soft skills: communication, presentation, dealing with work pressure, and relationship management.

At FPT, students have short-term opportunities for paid internships and long-term opportunities to work in a professional environment in the commercial sector with a huge number of commercial transactions to gain experience. Mr. Hung affirmed that students should study hard because the knowledge learned in the classroom at Hanoi Foreign Trade University can be used 80-90% at FPT.

FPT Corporation also offers many internship and long-term employment opportunities in many positions for students after the program.
