Vietnamese - Lao - Cambodian students in Kon Tum exchange extracurricular activities

On May 26, in Kon Tum city, Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union organized the Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Student Solidarity Day 2024. The program aims to create an environment for union members and students from the three countries studying at universities and colleges in Kon Tum province to exchange culture, exchange experiences in studying, practicing and fostering social skills.

Speaking at the Festival, Deputy Secretary of Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Bao Tan said that the world is in a period of integration for development, in which the role of students is an important factor connecting the young generation among nations, a "bridge" to foster good relations between neighboring countries, contributing to building a rich and prosperous country.

Aiming to build a united, peaceful and developed ASEAN community, the student community of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia also needs to share feelings with each other, continue to inherit and promote the good traditions left by previous generations.

According to Mr. Nguyen Bao Tan, to create opportunities for students to learn about the cultural traditions, history of good relations, solidarity and friendship between the three countries, the exchange program between Vietnamese - Lao - Cambodian students is regularly organized by the Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union, becoming an annual traditional festival in the locality.

On this occasion, Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the University of Danang Branch in Kon Tum to award 20 scholarships to students with high academic achievements; awarded 50 Certificates of participation in the Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Student Festival 2024. In addition, Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union also awarded 3 First prizes, 4 Second prizes, 2 Third prizes, 2 Encouragement prizes to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements at the Festival.

Fostering Vietnam-Laos friendship

Generations of Lao students have been studying in Quang Binh. In addition to their study to gain knowledge, they are also cultural "bridges", contributing to fostering the solidarity and friendship between the two brotherly countries of Vietnam and Laos.

On April 27, 2024, the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - District Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union - Vietnam Women's Union of Tan Binh District (HCMC) organized the program "Cultural - culinary exchange festival with Lao and Cambodian students" in 2024.
