Immediately after the 2024/25 season ended, SLNA urgently prepared its squad for the new season. The Nghe An team successfully retained key players such as Khac Ngoc, Van Khanh and Olaha. This is considered an important step in building a stable squad under coach Phan Nhu Thuat.
In addition, SLNA is actively negotiating with a number of players who have experience in V.League. Notable among them are two foreign players Gustavo Santos, who used to play for Thanh Hoa , and Brandao, who just ended his contract with HAGL.
In V.League 2024/25 alone, Gustavo scored 2 goals for Thanh Hoa. Brandao showed impressive form for HAGL with 6 goals. These are all experienced names, expected to increase the quality of the team's attack.
