To effectively implement Decision No. 167/QD-TTg dated February 8, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the "Program to support private sector enterprises in sustainable business for the period 2022-2025"; The Department of Industry and Trade has issued and focused on implementing programs, projects, plans, and policies for the development of the industrial and commercial sector.

In particular, it has directly and indirectly supported enterprises in general and private sector enterprises in particular in sustainable production and business, focusing on key contents: Planning and orienting plans for industrial and commercial development; Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment to develop production; Supporting trade promotion, connecting supply and demand, applying e-commerce to develop domestic and foreign markets to consume products; Training and coaching on legal regulations, knowledge and skills to contribute to the development and improvement of efficiency in production and business in the industrial and commercial sector.

Thanks to that, in recent years, it has contributed to effectively supporting businesses in general, and private sector businesses in particular, to produce and do business sustainably, and achieved many encouraging results in a number of areas:

Regarding industrial promotion: From 2022 to 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade has supported the application of advanced machinery and equipment in production for 30 small and medium enterprises in the province with a total budget of 7,796.9 million VND. Machinery and equipment supported for investment in production and processing have helped enterprises in the province improve productivity and product quality; reduce raw material consumption, reduce manual steps, reduce environmental pollution, improve working conditions, enhance competitiveness, and diversify products. At the same time, it helps spread the modern industrial production model to industrial enterprises in the province.

In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade has proactively coordinated with sectors and localities to develop regulations on management and use of funds and regulations on specific spending levels for supporting industry development in the province, submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for promulgation in Decision No. 41/2022/QD-UBND dated August 20, 2022 for implementation. In the period of 2022 - 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade has advised the Provincial People's Committee to support 06 projects to complete and innovate technology for pilot production of supporting industry products and 02 projects to support improving the quality of human resources, training, coaching and coaching for managers and technical workers of enterprises to meet the needs of priority supporting industry sectors with a total budget of over 2,100 million VND.

  In the energy sector: In order to promote the province's existing potential and advantages, the Department of Industry and Trade has advised the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider submitting to the Prime Minister a plan for renewable energy projects (other than hydropower) to ensure compliance with the orientation of the VIII Power Plan.

  In the field of commerce: Commercial infrastructure (market network, shopping malls, supermarkets, convenience store systems, etc.) is increasingly developed and improved, contributing to changing the appearance of urban areas, rural areas, and mountainous areas. The whole province currently has 371 active traditional markets, 96 supermarkets, and 27 shopping malls. Essential commercial infrastructure in rural areas such as Winmart+ stores, mini supermarkets are developing rapidly, etc. to meet the production and consumption needs of the people. With the strong development of the industry, import and export activities in the province have grown remarkably: Export turnover of goods increased from 1,200.3 million USD (in 2020) to 2,444.2 million USD in 2023 and reached over 3.2 million USD in 2024; the average growth rate in the period reached 27.89%/year. The export market has been expanded, and the number of enterprises participating in exports is increasing, with nearly 400 enterprises participating in exports in the area, of which about 250 are from Nghe An. E-commerce is developing rapidly, with modern technical infrastructure and full support facilities, ensuring convenience for businesses and consumers in the process of participating in transactions, contributing to improving the effectiveness of advertising, promoting and trading goods and services and changing consumers' shopping habits. Up to now, Nghe An E-commerce Exchange has supported more than 470 businesses and traders to register as members and set up booths, attracting over 9.2 million visits; introducing and offering 3,723 products and services, ranking 5th in the country in terms of the number of agricultural products and Vietnamese goods in the area being put on the floor. Over 70% of businesses have applied digital platforms in transactions.

About the Industrial Sector: Up to now, in the province, there are 30 industrial clusters established, of which 10 are invested in infrastructure by enterprises, including: Hung Dong Industrial Cluster (Vinh Hung Ward), Dien Thang Industrial Cluster (Minh Chau Commune), Nghia Dung Industrial Cluster (Tan Ky Commune), Lac Son Industrial Cluster Extension (Thuan Trung Commune), Nghi Dien Industrial Cluster (Nghi Loc Commune), Hung Yen Industrial Cluster (Yen Trung Commune), Do Lang II (Phuc Loc Commune), Dong Thai (Quang Chau Commune), Phuc Son (Anh Son Commune), Quynh Chau (Quynh Tam Commune). - There are 20 industrial clusters previously established by the District People's Committee as the Technical Infrastructure Investor, currently, assigned to the Commune People's Committee for management. Of which, 18 industrial clusters have approved technical infrastructure investment projects, 32 industrial clusters have approved detailed planning. - There are 23 industrial clusters with enterprises renting land and conducting production and business activities, attracting 246 enterprises and production facilities, creating jobs for about 25,689 local workers, the average occupancy rate of the industrial clusters operating in Nghe An province is 75%, the production value of enterprises in the industrial clusters reaches approximately 4,500 billion VND/year, contributing to the annual budget about 375 billion VND.

In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to focus on implementation, while evaluating and reviewing to research, adjust, supplement, and develop policies, programs, projects, and plans for industrial and commercial development to contribute to supporting businesses in developing sustainable production and business./.
