On the afternoon of August 15, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 669-NQ/DU dated September 4, 2018 of the Border Guard Party Committee on leadership to improve the quality and effectiveness of the fight against drugs and crime (PCMT&TP); building a comprehensive and strong specialized force for drug and crime prevention and control in the new situation.

In the past time, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee has led and directed the Party committees and commanders of agencies and units to thoroughly disseminate the Resolution to 100% of Party members and soldiers, especially those directly involved in drug and crime prevention and control, to grasp their assigned responsibilities and tasks, to clearly understand the plots, methods and tricks of various types of criminals, paying special attention to drug crime activities; to direct professional agencies to develop plans and deploy tasks closely to the characteristics, situation, functions and tasks of each agency, unit and locality; to flexibly apply professional measures to bring drug and crime prevention and control work into depth; to proactively grasp the situation from afar, and accurately forecast the activities of various types of criminals.
Actively propagate and mobilize people of all ethnic groups in border areas not to participate in or cover up crimes; closely coordinate with functional forces and local Party committees and authorities to propagate and mobilize people in border areas to strictly comply with the law; proactively coordinate with central and local press and radio agencies to promote propaganda about the results of the fight against drug-related crimes and crimes, in order to raise awareness among officials and people about the significance of crime prevention, the harmful effects of drugs on human health, family and community happiness, plots, methods and tricks of criminals, etc.; proactively coordinate and cooperate internationally in the fight against cross-border crimes.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement directives, resolutions, programs and plans of superiors on the fight against all types of crimes, especially drug crimes; synchronously deploy working measures in the fight against crimes.
Organize special forces to regularly monitor areas and subjects, grasp the situation of criminal activities; clearly identify key and complicated drug routes and areas to have appropriate combat plans.
The Provincial Border Guard Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the fight against drugs and crime.
