Summary of local defense and military work

On the morning of June 27, the Provincial Military Command held a conference to review the local defense and military work in the first 6 months of the year, and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. Attending and chairing the conference were comrades: Major General Ha Tat Dat, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3; Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Tue, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command.

Since the beginning of the year, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have done a good job advising the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the comprehensive completion of local defense and military tasks. Many tasks have been completed well and excellently, such as: Selecting and calling citizens to join the army; participating in training, competitions, sports events, serving inspections of the Military Command at all levels; summarizing directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, Military Region 3 and the province. Party and political work have been carried out in a disciplined manner, with clear quality and efficiency; military rear policy work has been carried out in accordance with principles, ensuring good logistics and technical work for the tasks. The Provincial Military Command has supported the construction of 6 gratitude houses for policy beneficiaries with especially difficult housing circumstances with an amount of 80 million VND/house; Presented gifts to 1,105 officers, soldiers, families in difficult circumstances, and policy beneficiaries with a total amount of over 700 million VND.

In the last 6 months of 2023, the Provincial Military Command will proactively coordinate with agencies, units and localities to grasp the political security situation, social order and safety in the province, strictly maintain regulations on combat readiness; advise on timely handling of situations to avoid being passive and surprised; ensure absolute security and safety for political events taking place in the locality; organize training, participate in inspections, competitions and sports events to strive for high results and absolute safety.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Ha Tat Dat, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3, requested the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command to focus on thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing directives and resolutions at all levels on local defense and military work. Advise the Provincial Steering Committee on directing defense area drills in Quynh Phu, Dong Hung districts and Thai Binh city, the Department of Industry and Trade; commune-level defense combat drills... to ensure practicality, efficiency and safety. Do a good job of grasping sources, preparing for selection and calling citizens to join the army in 2024. The Provincial Military Command proactively grasps the political security situation, social order and safety, strictly maintains combat readiness, heightens vigilance, avoids passivity and surprise in all situations; advises local Party committees and authorities to do a good job of training militia and self-defense forces, reserve forces, thereby improving the combat readiness of the base. Improve the quality of operations of force 47, contribute to the fight against and refute distorted information and false arguments on cyberspace; do a good job of policy work, military rear, searching for and collecting martyrs' remains; take care of the lives of officers, soldiers, and families in difficult circumstances in the province. Prepare adequate and timely logistics and financial materials for tasks; strictly manage and effectively use defense works in the province, ensure good supplies, equipment, and weapons for combat readiness, training, exercises, and sudden tasks.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Military Command commended collectives and individuals with good achievements in implementing the peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023).
