Besides the achieved results, the agricultural sector still faces many difficulties: small-scale production, slow land accumulation; localized disease recurrence; aquatic exploitation affected by high fuel prices; some irrigation works degraded...

At the Conference, delegates focused on raising recommendations, difficulties and discussing solutions to improve productivity and quality of the 2025-2026 Winter-Spring crop, completing the targets set for the coming time. The focus was on applying science and technology , digital transformation, building large fields, innovating varieties and crop calendars, using safety and biological measures, and responding to natural disasters.

The sector needs to continue to make efforts to develop modern, commodity agriculture, exploit regional advantages and advanced technology to improve productivity and quality, ensuring the success of the 2025 Winter-Spring crop. 2026. Thereby creating momentum for the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

He assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to promote its role as a leading agency, strengthen state management and effectively use resources to replicate highly effective agricultural, forestry and fishery production models. At the same time, expand cooperation, production links, and coordinate with high-tech units, research institutes and universities to promote agricultural modernization.

Continue to review and upgrade agricultural infrastructure, especially irrigation; strengthen land management, strictly handle violations; develop plans to convert production structures suitable for each region and provide timely support to people. The whole industry quickly improves the investment environment, attracts businesses, promotes changes in agricultural production thinking towards modernity and sustainability, creating an important foundation for the new period.

Localities and specialized agencies need to be proactive, responsible and flexible in performing their tasks. Specifically, it is necessary to synchronously deploy measures to respond to natural disasters and climate change; prioritize the development of typical products, select suitable plant varieties and arrange reasonable crop schedules; apply biological and mechanical methods and use new generation safe pesticides. In addition, it is necessary to promote the transfer of technical advances, encourage the conversion of ineffective cultivation areas, build large fields and concentrated production areas to meet market demand, especially for export.

On this occasion, the Department of Agriculture and Environment launched a fundraising campaign to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions who suffered heavy losses due to floods.
