Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology trains and fosters digital transformation skills for officials, civil servants and public employees of Tan Hung ward

Responding to National Digital Transformation Day (October 10), on October 10, Tan Hung Ward People's Committee organized a conference to train and foster digital transformation skills for cadres, civil servants and public employees under the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward.

The lecturers are experts from the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong city, the unit assigned to advise and implement training programs and popularize digital skills for officials at all levels in the city.

Comrade Dao Van Thang, Deputy Director of the Information Technology and Communications Center, Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong City, guides officers, civil servants and public employees of Tan Hung ward to process online public service records.

Speaking at the conference, representative of Tan Hung ward leadership, comrade Nguyen Van Dan , Vice Chairman of the ward People's Committee affirmed: digital transformation is a key task in the process of building digital government, developing digital economy and digital society; at the same time, it is an important solution to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the administrative apparatus, serving people and businesses better and better.

The training program has equipped the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with basic knowledge of digital transformation, including guidelines and policies of the Party, State and City; digital government model, digital economy, digital society at the grassroots level. In addition to theoretical content, trainees are also instructed in practicing essential skills such as: using the electronic document management and operation system, digital signature; submitting and processing online public service records at levels 3 and 4; digitizing administrative records and documents; applying digital communication tools such as Zalo Official Account, Public Service Portal and field reporting system; instructing on cashless payment skills and using the eTax Mobile application. The program also spends considerable time training on network safety and security, helping cadres identify risks and fraud tricks in the digital environment, mastering methods to secure public service accounts, backing up and protecting data.

Overview of the training

Through the training session, officials, civil servants and public employees of Tan Hung ward were strengthened in their awareness of the role of digital technology in management, administration and serving the people; at the same time, they formed skills to apply digital tools in daily work.

This activity demonstrates the proactive and cooperative spirit of the Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology in spreading digital knowledge and promoting the comprehensive digital transformation process in the city.

In the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong will continue to coordinate with units throughout the city to promote training, fostering and popularizing digital skills for different target groups; contributing to realizing the goal of making Hai Phong a leading city in digital transformation and innovation, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development in the new period.
