Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tra Vinh province celebrates 20th anniversary of establishment

Looking back over the 20-year journey of building and developing the Natural Resources and Environment sector, comrade Tran Van Hung, Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tra Vinh said that from the predecessor unit of the Department of Land Administration, which previously only managed 02 fields, it has now become a sector implementing state management of 09 fields (land, environment, sea - islands, water resources, minerals, surveying and mapping - remote sensing, hydrometeorology, biodiversity and climate change). The activities of the Natural Resources and Environment sector in the past time have basically completed the assigned tasks.

Comrade Tran Van Hung, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, spoke to review the 20-year tradition of the industry's establishment.

The organization of the 20th anniversary celebration of the industry aims to properly and fully evaluate, promptly recognize, commend and honor the contributions of effort, enthusiasm and intelligence of collectives and individuals, of many generations of leaders, managers and professionals of the industry over the past 20 years and previous periods that have contributed to the development of the province.

Representing the collective of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole sector, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment - Tran Van Hung expressed his determination to continue to strive to promote the achievements, unite in spirit, unify will and action, and strongly respond to emulation movements launched by the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment .

Congratulating and praising the achievements over the past 20 years, Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to focus on implementing the following key tasks:

(1) Strengthen the building of solidarity and unity within the province from the grassroots level; build strong organizations; leaders, civil servants, public employees and workers are always united, promoting collective intellectual strength to strive to complete the set goals and tasks. Continue to perfect the organizational system of the province's natural resources and environment; pay attention to training and developing human resources, strengthening discipline, order, and improving the responsibility of leaders; spirit and attitude of serving people and businesses, further promoting the work of preventing corruption and negativity...

(2) The Department of Natural Resources and Environment shall organize the establishment and completion of the missing sectoral plans and synchronously implement them, ensuring the management, exploitation, rational, economical, effective and sustainable use of resources; and strengthen the management and development of the marine economy .

(3) Promote administrative procedure reform on natural resources and environment, focusing on operating the natural resources and environment database, continuing to apply information technology in handling administrative procedures, improving service attitude, and not causing trouble for people and businesses...

(4) Continue to strive to promote the achievements, unite closely, unify will and action to successfully implement the goals of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, complete the task of building Tra Vinh province to meet new rural standards before 2025...

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province awarded certificates of merit to 01 collective and 12 individuals; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 28 individuals; the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment awarded the "For the Cause of Natural Resources and Environment" Medal to 69 individuals.
