In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Department of Construction promoted patriotic emulation movements associated with the implementation of assigned political tasks in many diverse, rich and suitable forms. Notably, in the movement "Emulation to successfully carry out the task of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security", the Department actively advised on the good implementation of planning, architecture and urban development; contributed to the completion of the work of establishing and covering inter-district regional planning projects; the coverage rate of approved general urban construction planning reached 100%; 100% of communes (before the merger) had general construction planning; the urbanization rate of the whole province reached 20.6%, exceeding 2.1% compared to the target set by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the term 2020-2025.

Implementing the emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure, practicing thrift, and combating waste", the Department has proactively and actively advised on the implementation of key transport projects of the province, focusing on advising and completing procedural documents to start the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project, the section in Son La province (73 days ahead of schedule); focusing on removing obstacles to speed up the progress and complete the project connecting National Highway 37 with National Highway 279D; supplementing the planning and submitting to the Ministry of Construction the Project on socialization of investment and exploitation of Na San Airport, putting into operation the National Highway 6 bypass... In addition, the Department has launched and called on cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to participate in supporting nearly 1.2 billion VND for social security work; Support and help communes in region III (Hang Dong, Co Ma, Song Pe) to eliminate temporary houses, organize visits, give gifts, encourage poor households, students in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 1.1 billion VND...

Continuously from 2021-2024, the Department of Construction was assessed and classified by the Provincial People's Committee as having excellently completed its tasks and ranked 1st/20 departments and branches in terms of the PAR Index; in 2023 and 2024, it led the province in terms of digital transformation, along with many emulation titles and certificates of merit from the Government , ministries, branches, and the Provincial People's Committee.
