Hai Phong Department of Health warns of many fake drugs on the market

Accordingly, the Hai Phong Department of Health warns against counterfeit drugs GAI COT HOAN and TE BAI HOAN Joint Pain. GAI COT HOAN and TE BAI HOAN Joint Pain are both manufactured by Dong Nam Duoc Dai An (40 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi ) and have not been granted a Circulation Registration Certificate. Both drugs are mixed with Paracetamol and Diclofenac sodium. Based on the provisions of Clause 33, Article 2 of the Pharmacy Law No. 105/2016/QH13, GAI COT HOAN and TE BAI HOAN Joint Pain are counterfeit drugs.

To ensure safety for users, Hai Phong Department of Health requires establishments and people not to trade or use counterfeit medicine products named: GAI COT HOAN hard pills and TE BAI HOAN joint pain pills produced by Dong Nam Duoc Dai An.

In addition to the above two drugs, the Department of Health also warns establishments and people not to trade and use fake RHINOPLASMA drugs. The RHINOPLASMA hard pills produced by Hai Thuong Southeast Pharmacy (108 Huong Lo 14, Tan Binh, Ho Chi Minh City) have not been granted a Circulation Registration Certificate; the drug is mixed with Paracetamol and Diclofenac sodium.

The Department of Health assigned the Department Inspectorate to coordinate with the Pharmaceutical Affairs Department; the Center for Testing Drugs, Cosmetics, Food and the District Health Department to inspect drug businesses in the area, verify information and trace the origin of the above-mentioned counterfeit drugs, handle organizations and individuals who violate according to current regulations; promptly detect and prevent the production, trading and use of the above-mentioned counterfeit drugs. At the same time, report the results of inspection, handling of violations and information about counterfeit drugs (including product images, labels, instructions for use) to the Department of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy Management to widely inform users to avoid using counterfeit drugs and goods of unknown origin.
