On the evening of July 20, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City coordinated with relevant units to open the Sports Festival for Community Health - Hue Sports Festival 2025.
Some of the competitions that have been held and are being held include: The 1st Hue City Yoga Open Tournament; 7-a-side Football Tournament for high school students in Hue City; Hue City Pickleball Open Tournament attracting more than 700 athletes nationwide to compete; Balance Bike Racing Tournament for young athletes from 2-8 years old;
From now until August 3, the Sports Festival for Community Health - Hue Sports Festival 2025 will continue with exciting tournaments in subjects such as: Nghia Dung Karate-do tournament in the Central Highlands; Hiphop-Showcase tournament; the 4th annual tournament of Golf Club 23; Hue S-Line Tennis Open Tournament; HUEBA JOGGING 2025 running tournament with 2 distances of 10km and 5km; 2nd Hue Ancient Capital 3x3 Basketball tournament; 3-cushion Carom Billiards tournament.
Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City, said: Hue Sports Festival was born in 2023 as an initiative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City, in response to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
This is a large-scale sporting event, contributing to promoting the potential and strengths of local culture, sports and tourism , and is also a typical model in the socialization of sports in the city.
The highlight of the program is the community spirit - with the enthusiastic participation of agencies, units, businesses, clubs and a large number of people. The State plays a role in creating a favorable environment, supporting the organization, health, safety and communication work.
“Not only a sports playground, Hue Sports Festival is also a real “sports festival” of Hue people. The sports spirit is constantly spreading, contributing to promoting the image of a dynamic and friendly Hue to tourists and the community” - Mr. Phan Thanh Hai emphasized.
On this occasion, the festival also mobilized the support of benefactors to support the poor and disadvantaged students in the area. In particular, the Vietnamese Smile Dental System awarded the “I go to school” scholarship worth 300 million VND to students from highland schools.
