Exciting communication activities and rural markets in ethnic minority areas

On May 14, at the Cultural - Sports Center of Khanh Vinh district, the Women's Union of Khanh Hoa province organized the Communication Program "Building a safe living environment for women and children", the Rural Market in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2025. These are activities to implement Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues of women and children" under the National Target Program on Socio-economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030, phase 1 from 2021 to 2025. Participating in the program were 150 cadres and women's union members from 5 districts, towns and cities implementing Project 8 including: Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh, Cam Lam, Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh.

At the program, the Provincial Women's Union organized a media event in the form of dramatization with the participation of 8 teams from the Women's Unions of communes and towns in Khanh Vinh district. The teams conveyed many contents on preventing and combating domestic violence; preventing and combating child marriage and incestuous marriage; gender equality... through performances such as: My Neighborhood Story, Awakening, Timely Prevention, Gender Equality, Bee and Butterfly, Broken Dream, Let's Act for a Family Without Violence, A Ma Knows.

Along with that, the Provincial Women's Union organized a rural market with 30 booths introducing and displaying local agricultural products; traditional products of ethnic minorities; products of local women's union members, cooperatives, association groups, start-up products, and women's business start-ups. Items sold at the market include: Fruits, cakes, vegetables, bamboo shoots, honey, corn, cassava, green-heart black beans... The booths limit the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic products; and implement payment by scanning QR codes. In addition, the Provincial Women's Union also organized a zero-dong booth with more than 1,000 products including: Fabrics, clothes, ao dai sponsored by benefactors and philanthropists to give to students and women's union members in difficult circumstances in Khanh Vinh district.
