Exciting activities of the "Green Summer" Volunteer Campaign in 2025

DTO - Practically responding to the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, while aiming to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Hoa Ward coordinated with students of the People's Police University ( Ho Chi Minh City) to organize activities to visit and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the area.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to two heroic Vietnamese mothers, Nguyen Thi Quyen (born in 1932) residing in Thanh Son quarter and Nguyen Thi Ton (born in 1932) residing in Thanh Hiep quarter. At each family, the union members, youth and students kindly asked about their health and living conditions, listened to touching stories about their lives, the years of resistance and the silent sacrifices of the mothers for national independence. The delegation representatives also expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the great contributions of the mothers to the country.

Each gift is the sincere heart of Thanh Hoa ward youth, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude" and affirming the responsibility of today's generation in continuing and promoting the revolutionary tradition.

* In the 2025 Green Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Tan Thanh commune welcomed 60 student volunteers from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. According to the plan, within 20 days, from July 12 to July 31, 2025, student volunteers will participate in projects to support new rural construction, build rural roads, implement the route "Lighting up rural roads with solar lights", instruct people to install digital applications, organize environmental activities, and repay gratitude...

In order to encourage and motivate the volunteer soldiers, the working delegation of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Tan Thanh commune led by Mr. Tran Van Kha - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of the commune visited, encouraged and gave gifts to the volunteer soldiers.

Youth union members happily enjoy warm and meaningful meals

Here, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee Tran Van Kha inquired about the health and activities of the volunteers during their time participating in the campaign in the locality. Acknowledging the contributions of the volunteers, Mr. Tran Van Kha presented gifts and encouraged the volunteers to continue promoting their youth and spirit, and to strive to complete practical and meaningful projects and tasks.

Along with that, in order to support the spirit as well as show the heart of the local people towards the volunteer soldiers, in the past days, benefactors and philanthropists have also supported food, rice, vegetables, fruits, drinking water for the students; Warm and affectionate meals of local people were also cooked and sent to the volunteer soldiers, showing the attachment and warmth of the local people towards the students as well as adding to the spirit, together contributing to building the homeland more and more beautiful.

Immediately after the ceremony, the Student Delegation came to offer incense at the Memorial House of the heroic martyrs of the ward, presented 15 gifts (500 thousand VND/gift) to families with difficult circumstances and made restored photos for families with difficult circumstances, along with activities such as: organizing the program "Building friendly toilets with me"; painting and decorating toilet walls at some schools; guiding people to submit applications online; the "Shining" Gala program; big game activities with the theme "Journey following the footsteps of heroes"...

The activities of the “Green Summer” Campaign promote the spirit of volunteerism and initiative of union members, youth and students in participating in socio -economic development, building civilized urban areas, and at the same time creating an environment for students to practice, contribute and mature.
