This year's Lak District Dugout Canoe Racing Festival takes place with many supporting activities, imbued with national cultural identity such as: Water Wharf Worship Ceremony; Longevity Celebration of the M'Nong People; Elephant Health Worship Ceremony; Boat Launching Ceremony; Ceremony to Announce the Decision and Award the Certificate of National Intangible Cultural Heritage: Traditional Craft - Pottery Making of the M'nong People, Yang Tao Commune, Lak District, combined with gong cultural exchange; Dugout Canoe Racing; Traditional Booth Display; Folk Cultural Activities to Honor the Cultural Values of the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in General and the Central Highlands Ethnic Groups in Lak District in particular.

This is also a practical activity to introduce and promote the potentials and strengths of the locality; create attractiveness and attract investors to Lak district to carry out joint ventures, associations, cooperation to promote investment, develop the economy and society; mark an innovation in the work of preserving and promoting the long-standing and fine traditional cultural values of the ethnic minorities in the area...
This year's race has five units with 62 athletes from Lien Son town, the communes of Yang Tao, Bong Krang, Dak Lieng and Lak Tented Camp tourist area, participating in three events: four-athlete canoe racing, three-athlete canoe racing and two-athlete canoe racing.
The competition was exciting and bustling, attracting many spectators including local people and tourists from inside and outside the province to cheer.

At the end of the race, the Organizing Committee awarded three first prizes, three second prizes, three third prizes and six consolation prizes to the units. In which, the first prize in all three categories belonged to Lien Son town.
The Organizing Committee also awarded the First Prize to Lien Son Town, Second Prize to Dak Lieng Commune, Third Prize to Bong Krang Commune and Encouragement Prize to Yang Tao Commune.
