Brentford have rejected a second bid of £62.5m from United , but the transfer is still expected to be approved by all parties after June 30, when United enter the new financial year.
This allows the Cameroonian striker's transfer fee to be charged to the Manchester club's account at the end of the 2025/26 season, in accordance with the PSR (profitability and sustainability rule).

Bryan Mbeumo is expected to sign a 5-year contract with MU, receiving a salary of 180,000 pounds/week.
According to The Athletic, the Cameroon star informed both Brentford and Tottenham of his decision to join MU.
Mbeumo has just had an outstanding season, scoring 20 goals in the Premier League - the best achievement of his career, along with 7 assists to help Brentford finish in the top half of the table.
Coach Ruben Amorim hopes to have Mbeumo available before the team returns to prepare for the new season from July 7.
A second offer of £55m plus £7.5m in add-ons was rejected by Brentford, but talks are continuing as United try to find a compromise.
Tottenham, with the arrival of new coach Thomas Frank, contacted the transfer. However, after Mbeumo publicly announced his intention to move to MU, Spurs immediately stopped pursuing him.
