Amending and supplementing the subject code on the health insurance card from December 3

Vietnam Social Security has issued Decision No. 1697/QD-BHXH amending and supplementing a number of articles on the issuance of codes recorded on health insurance cards in Decision 1351/QD-BHXH dated November 16, 2015 of the General Director of Vietnam Social Security.

Accordingly, Decision No. 1697 amends the subject codes on the health insurance card of the group paid by the State budget in Decision 1351 as follows:

KC: People participating in the resistance war and defending the Fatherland according to the Prime Minister 's Decisions, except for those granted codes CC, CK and CB (effective from October 19, 2023).

BT: People eligible for monthly social assistance and benefits according to the provisions of the law on the elderly, the disabled and social assistance.

HN: People belonging to poor households according to the poverty standards for the period 2022-2025 prescribed in Decree No. 07/2021/ND-CP and other documents of competent authorities amending, supplementing or replacing the poverty standards applicable for each period.

TS: Relatives of martyrs include: biological father; biological mother; wife or husband, children of martyrs; people who raised martyrs.

TC: Relatives of the meritorious.

PV: The person serving the meritorious person is living in the family.

Add some object codes on the health insurance card of the group paid by the State budget as follows:

CT: People aged 80 and over are receiving monthly pension benefits.

ND: People awarded the title of People's Artist or Meritorious Artist belong to households with an average monthly income per capita lower than the basic salary as prescribed by the Government (effective from October 19, 2023).

TG: The wife or husband of a martyr who marries another person is receiving a monthly allowance according to the provisions of Section a, Clause 10, Article 16 of the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions.

AK: People in safe zone communes and revolutionary safe zones during the resistance war against France and the US who are currently residing in safe zone communes during the resistance war against France and the US have had their information updated in the National Population Database and the Residence Database (but are not subject to the provisions of Clauses 1, 2 and 3, Article 12 of the Law on Health Insurance).

In addition, Decision 1697 also amends and supplements many other health insurance card codes for groups of subjects supported by the State budget, groups participating in health insurance by household, and groups paid by employers.

Decision 1697/QD-BHXH takes effect from December 3, 2023.
