With an indomitable spirit and intelligence and creativity, he and his comrades fought bravely, successfully defending Khau Chia Pass, stopping the enemy's advance. Now, when the war has receded, the soldiers of the past, although old, still love, unite, and work together to build a prosperous life and happy families. Mr. Tuan and his comrades in the Liaison Committee of Regiment 567 led reporters to revisit the battle sites, burn incense and offer prayers to the souls of their comrades at Keng Rieng Cave (Quoc Phong Commune, Quang Hoa District). Here, 23 soldiers sacrificed their lives. In memory of their comrades, the veterans of Regiment 567 contributed their own money to buy back land from the people, built beautiful and clean incense altars at two locations in Quang Hoa District to worship and burn incense for the martyrs. They also assigned people to regularly look after, clean, and burn incense for the martyrs at the two altars and visit them on holidays and Tet.
