Suy Hang is one of the seven villages of Minh Lang commune, Vu Thu district. Thanks to the spirit of solidarity and unity of the cadres and people, up to now Suy Hang is one of the few residential areas in the district to maintain the title of cultural village for 15 consecutive years, and has been awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee.

Suy Hang village currently has 420 households and more than 1,200 people. In addition to agricultural production, villagers maintain the traditional embroidery profession. Mr. Dang Cong Nguyen, Party Cell Secretary, Head of the Village Front Committee, said: In the economic development emulation movement, the village mobilizes households to boldly invest in seeds, capital, apply scientific and technical advances in rice production towards commodities, build farms, family farms, and concentrated and effective aquaculture areas. People unite to support and help each other with over 2 billion VND to invest in buying machinery, materials, fertilizers, and breeds to develop production. Up to now, the village has had a number of households accumulating land, producing and raising livestock on a large scale, typically Mr. Kien's family accumulating and producing 10 hectares of rice; Mr. Luyen's, Mr. Tung's, Mr. So's, and Mr. Tung's families raise breeding cows, chickens, and pigs, earning hundreds of millions of VND each year. Some smart households have expanded their business services such as food processing, trading in construction materials, mechanics, and carpentry. Notably, despite many difficulties, hundreds of workers in the village still strive to stick with and maintain the traditional embroidery profession, contributing to increasing income and improving life. Thanks to that, up to now, Suy Hang village has over 80% of well-off and rich households; the number of poor households is 1.25%; 95% of households have solid flat-roofed houses, many households have spacious high-rise houses, and buy cars and expensive household appliances.

Economic development creates favorable conditions for people to participate in movements and activities. In the construction of new rural areas, people have united to contribute labor and money to solidify 100% of village and hamlet roads and build spacious village cultural houses.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai shared: A few years ago, when the province had not yet had a policy, the villagers encouraged each other to contribute and mobilize their children to support more funds to install an electric system to light up the countryside roads on the 1.7km long commune road through the village and 100% of the main roads of the village. We also voluntarily contributed and supported 78 million VND to invest in a heat-resistant corrugated iron roof for the village cultural house to serve activities and meetings. In particular, the whole village mobilized more than 800 million VND to renovate and upgrade Long Hoa pagoda and build a memorial stele for the village's martyrs at the village communal house, contributing to preserving the good historical and cultural values and educating the patriotic and revolutionary traditions of our homeland. Currently, we encourage each other to plant and take care of flower roads, clean village roads and alleys, and collect pesticide packaging in the fields to clean the environment. Children who have returned from far away are very excited because the village is clean, beautiful, modern, and civilized.

For many years, weddings and funerals in Suy Hang village have been organized in a civilized and economical manner, in which 90% of the village's funerals have been cremated. The village has maintained for many years no one giving birth to a third child or more. Sports and folk dance movements have attracted a large number of people to participate. Every year, 100% of households in the village register, of which over 98% are recognized as cultural families. For 15 consecutive years (2008 - 2022), Suy Hang village has maintained the title of cultural village, in which in 2017 it was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements as a cultural village.

“Over the years, Suy Hang village has always been a bright spot in the commune in implementing the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in residential areas. The village's exciting activities and movements have contributed to encouraging and motivating the people in the commune to compete to accelerate economic development, increase income, improve life and soon bring the commune to meet the advanced new rural standards" - Mr. Do Xuan Phuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Lang commune affirmed.

The appearance of Suy Hang village is increasingly spacious, green, clean and beautiful.

Sharing his experience in mobilizing people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, Mr. Dang Cong Nguyen, Party Cell Secretary, Head of the Front Work Committee of Suy Hang village, said: First of all, the staff is always dedicated and responsible for each emulation movement. The village implements democratic regulations well to promote the people's mastery, create consensus and promote the strength of the entire people in all activities. Regarding financial work, the village practices democracy, openness and transparency, thereby creating trust among the people. When people trust, the activities in the village are implemented very smoothly and effectively.
