The exhibition introduces 50 diverse and creative illustrations by 8 young artists from all over the country, vividly recreating the memories and experiences of each author and also the shared memories of the entire generation at that time. Through each work, each artist brings a unique and brilliant piece from their rich childhood.
The exhibition space helps the audience feel like they are returning to their childhood, where there are still images of kites, small snacks that make children happy all day, familiar folk toys such as to he, paper masks... Not only are the paintings on display, in the Ho Van area there are also childhood games for the audience to experience.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam Nguyen Lien Huong shared that through the strokes and colors of the works, the artists told the audience stories that adults sometimes forget in their lives. Each illustration carries a childhood memory, where there were meals cooked by mother, kites filled with wind, and games that we loved as children. Through the paintings, the audience can go back to the past, and find the activities they experienced when they were young.
Ms. Bui Ngoc Xuan, Project Manager of the "Big Tells Small Stories" painting exhibition, added that this painting exhibition is an activity within a large project that the Organizing Committee has been nurturing since 2023. With the efforts of the Organizing Committee, creative cultural activities will increasingly reach more young people and culture lovers in Hanoi," Ms. Bui Ngoc Xuan expressed.
