Serious drowning accident in Hai Hoa, 2 students died

A serious drowning accident occurred on the afternoon of April 20 in the Hai Hoa beach area (Nghi Son town), causing the death of two students (both residing in Nguyen Binh ward).

Accordingly, the incident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on April 20 when a group of male students in Nguyen Binh Ward (Nghi Son Town) invited each other to go swimming in Hai Hoa beach area. While swimming, two students were unfortunately swept away from shore and went missing. They were Vu Minh Quan and Pham Van Duong, both residing in Van Thang 1 Residential Group, Nguyen Binh Ward.

Receiving information from the Administrative Police Team for Social Order - Nghi Son Town Police, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC & CNCH) mobilized 1 vehicle transport vehicle, rubber boat with 30 CV pusher, 2 diving sets and a number of CNCH vehicles along with more than 10 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local forces and people to search for the victims.

Victim Vu Minh Quan was brought ashore by local people and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. However, this victim died later. The Fire Police and Rescue Force continued to mobilize human resources and vehicles, coordinating with local people to search for victim Pham Van Duong.

At around 6:30 a.m. on April 21, the body of victim Pham Van Duong was found. Authorities completed the procedures and handed over the body to the family according to the law.
