>>> Readers are invited to watch a video about the train accident in Germany
Daily Mail reported on July 27 that a train carrying about 100 passengers derailed on the tracks between the towns of Riedlingen and Munderkingen, Germany, killing at least four people and injuring many others.
According to local television station SWR, helicopters were dispatched to the scene immediately after the accident to take the injured victims to hospitals in the area.

The train was reportedly running on a 90km stretch of track between Sigmaringen and Ulm when it crashed. Two carriages fell off the tracks and overturned. However, images posted online showed the carriages were largely intact.
In a statement, German national railway company Deutsche Bahn said there were several injuries and offered condolences to the victims and their families.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz asked relevant authorities to provide all necessary support to the victims.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, according to the railway authority. Initial reports said a landslide may have been the cause.
